UK midnight launch parties canceled!

Leave it to the police to spoil your good fun. With growing concerns about the brazen drunkenness and overt debauchery that would undoubtedly go hand-in-hand with a midnight console launch, UK police have put the smack-down on late night launch parties. Two of London's largest retailers, HMV and GAME, have caved and have officially canceled their original plans.
"Following consultation with the Metropolitan Police and given the high value of the PS3 consoles, GAME, the UK's number one video games retailer has put its customer's safety first and made the decision to open the store at 7am. This will guarantee gamers have access to public transport so they can easily and safely transport their consoles home in daylight."
It's really fantastic how GAME turns their opportunity to demonstrate civic responsibility into a lame plug about how they're the UK's number one game retailer. Does the spin ever stop? And since when is public transportation safe?

"Since when is public transportation safe?"
It's not, but relative to walking through the streets of London at 2 am, it's a far smarter option.

This is a really off-topic question, but how does one send an email to any of the staff here at PS3 Fanboy?

In the morning, during rush hour, I would say taking public transport is very safe, especially when compared to taking a 2am bus. In London no less.
