Mercenaries 2 thinks: well, screw U2!
Oh, it was an attempted play on the most "The organization is seeking to gather the signatures of various religious leaders for a letter (PDF format) intended for the one man they feel can and should stop the game from going to market--U2 frontman Bono. The Irish crooner and part-time activist is one of the board members of Elevation Partners, the venture capital firm that is a majority stakeholder in the partnership between Pandemic and BioWare, which brought the two independent game developers together under the name BioWare/Pandemic Studios."
Stupid. Nothing annoys this guy more. Especially if you read the humorous take from Maddox's website on U2 -- not to be taken seriously (and not for the young'uns). We should create a petition for people to petition against stupid petitions. Is anyone seriously offended by this, of all games?

"war kicks ass"
It's shit like this that makes me wish the war came home with us. And then all the people thinking this had it come to there home front steps.. took them captive.. died on the spot. Oh, would it be soo sweet! =)
Besides that one single statement, the rest was an fun. But that one comment made me think this is just another redneck close minded arrogant jackasses that doesn't know what he's talking about, and really butt hurt over nothing. He says "who cares" a lot.. but the funny thing is that his rant is too f'ing long to say, "who cares", over and over and over and over.. yikes! :S

Um, I'm sorry, U-who?
I for one don't take this guy seriously anyways.

Ohhh, ohhh, I got an Idea... Why don't we boycott GRAW 2 because it's set in Mexico. I know that after playing it I develop an intense urge to write my congressperson and ask them to break sanction millitary action in Mexico City.
Or maybe we should ban Resistance: Fall of Man for being set in an alternate history of England. You know English people now terrify me and the historians can be none to happy with the game.
If we're going to start restricting works of fiction because they are set in real places then we should just stoke the fires and burn every book that used Earth as its primary setting. You know... to be safe.

Petitions never work. There just so people can pretend they are making a diffrence.

I guess you haven't read Maddox's pages too much?

Bono's a big gamer, and I don't think he'd care too much about something that's just a fictional game that nobody's going to relate to the real world with anyway. Non-story.
