Namco gives the PS3 some exclusive love! [update #1]
While Sony may have lost an exclusive here and there, Namco and Sony have unveiled three new PS3 exclusives aimed at making the PS3 the console to fear, envy and buy. Via the recently formed Cellius joint-venture, we'll be seeing Brave Arms, Chain Lim!t, and Second Season 01 rolling onto the mighty black monolith in the coming months. We're not experts in translating Japanese (our home study course is on the way!), but we do know that these new games look great based on scans from the latest Famitsu. You can check out the games here, here and here respectively (get to them before the bandwidth is sucked dry).
Will Cellius' Executive Director, Krazy Kenny K, redeem himself with the new exclusives?
[Thanks B33]
[Update #1: Apparently, the paranoid conspiracy theorists at Joystiq think that this is a ruse. We have no idea what a ruse actually is, but our sister-site can enlighten you with all the details as to why this post may need some additional context.]

I used to have an Xbox but hated for not having any exclusives. Now my PS3 gets some.

I totally forgot about the Sony Namco company "Cellius" headed by Kutaragi. I think alot of people did. I think Cellius was sony's way of both moving Kutaragi away from the PS3 while simultaneously giving a bit of a software boost to sony's library. Since ken knows the console through and through, and normally that takes developers quite some time to do, maybe it will produce some really good games.

Brave Arms looks th best out of the three, although they all do look really good anyway.
AAA or not?
Maybe not until we find out more info.

brave arms looks really good. exclusives are what makes a console right?

I don't really care much about those games as they probably won't even make it to North America anyways. How about they give us Ace Combat 6 instead.

i saw those screens last night and they look amazing. i really like how they are just trying to be innovative. that screen where he is chasing someone and moving through the crowd looks great. it doesnt seem liek the typical first person shooter action which is a good thin. im tired of the same dam games over and over.
and brave arms looks really good too nice to see them take an innovative approach to the action genre.
inn case you guys didnt know the transllation says that in brave arms the action will be totally close quarters combat and will be based on a contextual command system

Wow seeing all the images is already making me impatient. They sure look good, I think sony made lots of decision that we are still to find out in the future.

Personally, I don't care for exclusives anymore. They just mean I have to buy a console I may not even want to play the game.
On one hand, I'm glad my PS3 will be useful; on the other, I'm not so sure I want to spend much time on it.
Sony will stay competitive, and everyone will be happy.

THanks Chris for those links, the originals wouldn't work for me.
Looks like some interesting stuff - wonder the title names are just translations - they sound a little odd, what is Chain Limit?

Wow, those pics look amazing. Which are real though, and which are cutscenes, I don't know. If this is where gaming is headed, I'm there.
Thanks for reposting the screenshots Chris.

you know i'd like to see Sony do well, but people need to stop reporting till there's actual proof.
