Ask PSP Fanboy: Volume 13

Every Saturday, PSP Fanboy will answer your burning questions. If you have a question for the team, send an e-mail to andrew @ pspfanboy.com with the subject "Ask PSP Fanboy."

Q: I was checking out the Devil May Cry 4 trailer on Xbox 360 Fanboy and a commenter raised an excellent question. I had heard a version of Devil May Cry is(was?) due for the PSP, any word on when that may happen or if it is still going to happen?
A: We contacted Capcom, and all they had to tell us was that the release "is still TBD." What does that mean? Sounds like they haven't started work on it yet, have they?

Q: I have a PSP with firmware 3.03 OE-C . I've been in the homebrew scene for a long time, but I got bored of it. If I update to 3.30, what steps should I take to minimize the chance of bricking?
A: Depending on what kind of hardware you have, you'll have to download this patch before attempting to upgrade to 3.30. Make sure you always restore your system to 1.50 before attempting an update: this is the safest way to ensure your firmware will be upgraded.

Q: When the system is plugged into a wall socket and turned on at the same time, the PSP will no longer charge. Has this happened to you too?
A: I've been able to play with the AC adapter, and it appears that the system still charges, at least for me. However, I believe the battery does not charge when you're connected via Wi-Fi. Your incident seems isolated, but I'm sure fellow PSP Fanboy readers experiencing the same problem will contact us.

Q: Is it possible to use the PSP as a wireless network adapter for my PC?
A: No, not to our knowledge. It would be a lot wiser to get a dedicated wireless card. Why? The one in the PSP isn't that strong. Your computer will want better!

Q: What's the "PSP Store"?
A: Check out our original coverage here. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as though the store will actually provide full game downloads. Right now, the store has returned, with free expansion packs to Wipeout Pure, but no sign of a free full game.
