Devil May Cry 4 demo out in Japan kiosks... on PS3! [updated, yo]

What did the guy think of the level he was able to demo? It seemed to play great, but was sort of repetitive (understandable, although if you fight anything a few times in any game, repetitive can be an allocated descriptor). Hopefully the repetition slides away and is replaced with DMC3 difficulty. Graphics and effects were great, but the backgrounds seemed a little out of place, or didn't flow with the environments. Slightly jealous, but that's why I can just throw in the other odd-numbered titles of the series and get my fix.
[update: yeah, yeah, fixed the title, etc. Darned subject lines with their conspiracy-theory destroying abililites]

I just like to point out that , the article inside the READ link for this post does not say 360. Instead it says PS3 ... title as "Devil May Cry 4 playable at PS3 kiosks in Japan" (pasted from the READ link)
bxbailey @ Apr 4th 2007 1:48PM
That would be a nice demo for this thursday.
Colin @ Apr 4th 2007 1:48PM
1. Yes...article clearly states PS3
2. Japanese based tech blogger and he doesn't have a camera/cellcamera with him? WTF!
Kagari @ Apr 4th 2007 2:19PM
I read something like this on the GameSpot forums... might be the same guy, but yes, it is the PS3 version. It's available on some Japanese PS3 kiosks running custom firmware 1.5 or so.
mccomber @ Apr 4th 2007 2:21PM
I agree with the above posters that it sounds like it was actually on a PS3 kiosk. What with it being in the title and all. The comparisons are probably because Gears seems to be the current console benchmark for graphics, and Lost Planet because... it's also a Capcom game? Dunno.
SuicideNinja @ Apr 4th 2007 3:32PM
Time to retract that article. Capcom would be stupid to demo DMC4 in Japan on the less popular console.
The title of the article says "at PS3 kiosks".

I HAVE A SUGGESTION. Would any1 mind making a petition to stop anymore PS3 Exclusives from going to the 360 or any multi-plate for systems. (i.e. MGS4, Final Fantasy 13...etc)

@ john:
Why? Are you afraid? Guess you should be. LoL
Virtua Fanboy @ Apr 4th 2007 4:35PM
On topic:
I guess they're trying to make something out of nothing. It obviously says PS3.

Although a petition wouldn't do a whole lot, I would love to see games stay on the PS3 only, but more for the fact that I would love to see games that are developed to make the most of the PS3, without having to think about how it will run on other systems. To push it in a direction to where a game couldn't be made on the 360 without looking severly worse off (from a graphical perspective).
I've always felt that multi-platform games have suffered when they are made do to the fact that you have to work on making it sit on a level playing field for all systems. It's been said multiple times, but it really makes sense, why would a developer take the time to push games to the farthest extent for each console?
Kagari @ Apr 4th 2007 6:12PM
Nick! Please fix your article.
Maikii @ Apr 4th 2007 5:18PM
I was in Japan last November and played DMC4 demo at a camera store, it's been out for awhile ....
Maikii @ Apr 4th 2007 5:20PM
^^ on a PS3 that is ...
sicklesdawg @ Apr 4th 2007 5:46PM
I already said i wont support CAPCum
Wonderflex @ Apr 4th 2007 6:50PM
Change the article.
The poster of the article, USASamurai, said, "It was played on PS3. Or, unless your telling me Sony has XBOX 360s behind the kiosks running software? Now, that would be news!"
LPWOOT @ Apr 4th 2007 6:50PM
I as a PS3 fanboy, am actually ok with games going multiplatform, as long as people don't become dicks about it.
