'The game looks absolutely glorious'
I don't agree there, look the PS3 is just there to have awsome graphics yet these don't even look as good as Rare's 'Kameo'. And that game was an XBox 360 launch game...
See for yourself http://rareware.com/games/kameo/images.html

Oh man, so pretty! The trailer didn't do justice to this game. I can't freaking wait! The R&C games have been some of my favorite games from last gen.

Pretty :o Can't wait. Need a ps3. Need now.
One of the main reasons I will get a ps3 is this. R&C ftw.
sam-evans @ Apr 7th 2007 1:09AM
This is why I Dropped around $860USD ($1200NZD) for my PS3, then $300NZ for Resistance, Motorstorm and a SIXAXIS.
Ratchet & Clank Future, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy XIII, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Warhawk, Gran Turismo 5 - Cant Wait for these games
I dont see 10 good exclusive games for any of the other consoles...not that the 360 and Wii arent good (Gears is good and Wii Sports & Zelda are fun), but I dont see them offering anything this good.
Maybe someone would care to enlighten me on 10 Good Unreleased Exclusive Wii and 360 Games (10 for each console)...HALO 3...Super Mario Galaxy...

Was anyone actually able to log into that site? I tried multiple times, and the weird-word thing, designed to keep out bots, well, it keeps out humans, too. I would love to write them and berate them but... I can't figure out the bot-word thing.

Ratchet and Clank is perhaps the strongest Playstation title. People who own ps2's will buy the ps3, just to get this title. It is one of the most satisfying franchises ever developed, maybe THE most. You can play for hours, and hours. The game applies to average gamers... If you get stuck, you can always go back a planet, and build skills, and resources.
And when you go back, it's always beautiful, still.
The first time I played Ratchet and Clank on the PS2, I fell in love with videogames again. It was everything I could have ever wished for, and I'm going to rent and play all three of them again, they're that good.
And the programming is always amazing, too.
Programming, story, control, graphics... everything about this game is amazing. Doesn't always have the huge vistas that are typical of Jak and Daxter, but it's always funner... J&D being more 'hardcore'-- though the hardcore would probably laugh at this....
But when you're playing Ratchet and Clank, it's like you're a kid, again.
One of the best series ever made.

It's missing fur. Ugh.
Everything just looks too smooth and shiney. It's missing textures... Textures that make Conker: L&R still look absolutely amazing, and that keep Hot Shots Golf 5 actually look like a next-gen "cartoony" game.
Champloo @ Apr 7th 2007 4:12AM
Fantastic looking game, although RoboJoel, I agree about the fur, it could use more (I see little bits and pieces). That could really enhance the visuals beyond how beautiful they already are. And John, don't forget God of War, I'd personally say *that* was Sony's strongest 1st party title at the moment, what with all the critical acclaim it's receiving.
Also, at the risk of being mauled by bears, the Wii and Xbox 360 have some great exclusives, just as the PS3 does. Lets' see here, off the top of my head... (Upcoming games will be marked with a (U), 1st party exclusives will be marked with a (1)):
Xbox 360 exclusives - Gears of War, Halo 3 (1)(U), Fable 2 (1)(U), Blue Dragon (U), Lost Odyssey (U), Cry On (U), Banjo-Kazooie 3 (1)(U), Crackdown, Halo Wars (1)(U), Dead Rising, and more.
Wii exclusives - Super Paper Mario (1)(U), Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (1)(U), The Legend of Zelda: Wii (tentative title) (1)(U), WarioWare: Smooth Moves (1), Kirby: Wii (tentative title) (1)(U), Super Smash Bros.: Brawl (1)(U), Wii Sports (1), NiGHTS: Journey Into Dreams (U), No More Heroes (U), Super Mario Galaxy (1)(U), etc.
Anyways, yes, all the systems have some great exclusives. So there you go, sam-evans. 10 of each for the 360 and Wii listed.

I looked at all the screens for both games and I have to say you are high on fanboyism.
Both games have incredible graphics, and if the screens from R&C aren't better, they are at least as good as the high-res images of the link you gave.
Blinded by your illogical love for one console or another is a good way to remove any credibility from any words and ideas you post.
Vincent @ Apr 8th 2007 6:22PM
Ahuem, like you said: the ones from R&C are as good or better. What bothers me a bit is that they announce them as 'absolutely glorious'.
I hope that the PS3 can do well better then this, and i know it can so we shouldn't send out the message that this game looks as good or even better then a game that is already 18 months old.
Naaiif @ Apr 8th 2007 11:44AM
What the hell those Kameo screenshots look nowhere near as good as those Ratcher and Clank ones.
What the hell are you smoking man?
Vincent060 @ Apr 8th 2007 2:34PM
Man, do I look forward to this game. I've always enjoyed a good R&C game. I've played the first one and second one. I can't wait to test out all the new weapons they will have in this one, as well as level them up. From what I've seen from the trailer and screenshots, it looks more like the first game, in terms of art design, not graphics-wise.
mccomber @ Apr 9th 2007 2:23PM
The level of overall detail is what impresses me, and this isn't even a final build. Kameo is a beautiful game, but it doesn't really compare to what we're seeing already from R&C.
Absolutely glorious is absolutely spot-on.
