MotorStorm #1 in Europe and worldwide?
We all know MotorStorm took #1 in the US and Japan with software sales, which is awesome. We're not ashamed to admit that -- neither should you! It's a fun game. Lots of mud. Anyway, alongside Resistance: Fall of Man, it's taken the top of the charts across the world. It's not an easy feat to say that you've been number one in the US, Japan, and Europe!Evolution's boss, Martin Kenwright, issued this statement: "Developing Motorstorm to a standard we were all happy with was certainly a challenge - but the team here really delivered. Evolution has a reputation for delivering high quality racing titles, but the consensus was to come up with something really special for Sony's new hardware. We're delighted that the public has agreed with the press and made Motorstorm a worldwide number one PlayStation 3 title." Shall we raise our mugs and sing a song to honor this accomplishment?

I suppose you mean #1 in PS3 software sales, yes?

Ughhh .. i suck at MotorStorm ... my online record is 0 wins and 20+ losses. If you go to the noob races, the host doesnt know what they're doing and takes forever to start a race.
psn: phattie

I just hope they keep up the same level of quality with the remaining "big" titles - Heavenly, Lair, Warhawk, White knight, KZone 2, Drake:uncharted.

It is the number one PS3 title...not the number one software title.

Wait, so why is it a big deal that Motostorm is the number 1 PS3 title? It's not like there is a hell of a lot of competition.

"We all know MotorStorm took #1 in the US and Japan with software sales, which is awesome. We're not ashamed to admit that -- neither should you! "
This is a really confusing statement. It implies that Motostorm was #1 in Japan for at least a week. Looking back at the Japanese charts, the best Motorstorm every did was 34th in the top 50 games the week it sold a Japanese-high 21,000 units.
The 34th best selling game in Japan was #1 the best the PS3 did that week.
Did I miss something?

"Why is PS3fanboy putting a spin on this."
Nick Doerr has been putting spin on all of Sony's sales numbers regarding the PS3. He's taken to the foolish practice of reporting revenues instead of sales (which makes zero sense), and seems happy to mislead with odd numbers or willfully misinterpret numbers.
The PS3 is selling poorly. Why is that such a big deal? Why does it have to be covered up and denied?

Saying MotorStorm is number 1 in the PS3 software charts and making that some sort of a deal (when there are hardly any titles out at the moment, and MotorStorm is clearly one of the best out there) is silly... To the person who skims an article without reading it (Nick, ahem) it looks like it is number 1 in the cross-platform charts which isn't necessarily the case. It's like saying that the PS3 is number 1 in the PS3 hardware charts...

Now lets see a patch: reducing the horrible load times, adding split screen, adding custom single player races, more tracks, more vehicles, making SIXAXIS better...and some vehicle customisation would be a nice touch
Motorstorm is pretty sweet as is, but it is missing a bit of stuff
Anyone know what Evolution is working on now? (Hope its another WRC game)
