Live in Canada? Have a lot of games? Get a PS3 for $400!

We're assuming the $399.99 price tag is in Canadian currency -- and the price does go towards the 60GB model PS3. What do you have to do to get this deal? Trade in 10 applicable games and get the deal of a lifetime. Well... probably not. Applicable titles is a tricky situation -- they're probably games that either just came out or have a certain trade-in value (an excuse to finally get rid of Disgaea -- the game that's worse than crack).Don't want the 60GB? Well, you can also get a deal on the 20GB model while it still exists -- same conditions apply, but the discount drops the console to $290. That's all we know, since we're a bit far from Canada to test it out. Anyone interested, see what the deal is and drop a comment. We're going to say that unless you beat games really quickly and trade them in, it won't be a great deal. But it seems like it might.

I actually just took advantage of this offer yesterday. For a 1st gen XBOX, 2 controllers, 5 decent games and 7 crappy ones, EB Games (Gamestop) got me a PS3 for $440 CDN after tax. I was very happy. As a long time 360 user, I was getting the PS3 for the Blu-ray mostly, but I can say that I really like the interface as a whole. Very clean and sharp. The online store seems a little computer orientated navigation wise, but the XMB is very well done.
So if you have old crappy systems and games you're not doing anything with, trade up and save a tonne of money. However, check your items on Ebay, as you could probably get more money from them than from EB. I had to convince the manager to upgrade the value of some of my games (all games under $8 value were made to be $10). If you have the patience to wait for them to be sold on Ebay you will probably make more. EB/Gamestop will definitely give you less. Having said that, I was pretty happy with my experience yesterday.

MM AT MY LOCAL EBGAMES IN NJ THREY HAVE AND OFFER WITH NO EXPIRATION DATE GET $100 OFF A NEW 60 GIG PS3 IF YOU TRADE IN ANY PS2 WITH 2 SONY CONTROLLERS AND 1 SONY MEMORY CARD..I'M STILL THINKING BOUT IT BUT I THINK IMMA JUST PAY FULL PRICE

I live in Canada and I took advantage of this deal. I traded in my ps2 and 10 games with a trade in value of at least $8 and in the end I payed $336 after tax. Its a pretty sweet deal.

3 weeks ago I traded in 40 games, did the 10 for the $399 deal, then traded in the other 30 useless games for more discount. So after all the trade in, I gotten a PS3 60gig with component cable and Resistance Fall of Man for a grand total of $320 plus tax.
