Heavenly Sword demo is super-confirmed!
This is a little piece of news that should make everybody happy! Ninja Theory's upcoming super-sexy-cool slash-'em-up and beat-'em-down title, Heavenly Sword, has a demo on the way. SCEA's Kyle Shubel sat down for a quick interview and talked a little about the game. Since we covered pretty much everything there is to know about the gameplay during the week o' Heavenly Sword, we'll only touch on the interesting bits.- No online multiplayer -- it's a single player game.
- They're in discussions about what to bring to HOME. Trophies, whatever. Again, who would love to see a life-sized statue of Nariko next to that life-sized Dante statue? That's pretty rewarding. If it happens.
- Demo is planned, but its release is still in discussion. We're estimating July just for the heck of it. Sound appropriate?
- Resolution and framerate right now: 720p @ 30fps
- Apparently, there will be giant monster-type enemies. No details yet.
- "Good replay value" planned.
Mmm, so what's with developers keeping their mouths shut? Do they really not want to fail to keep a promise that badly? We'd love to just get a ballpark for the demo, or what they'd like to see in HOME, or when they imagine the game being released. Oh well. Until the next interview, then!

The only thing i am worried about this game is length and replayability.... And from interviews they have been pretty good at not telling us either of those points. If its GOW like length then its ok but any shorter i am not sure if its worth a purchase especially they havent said much about the "bonus material" either

any giant CRAB like creatures comming?
...
ok it wasn't all that funny,..... but i needed to get that out of the way.
i just want to know when the demo is comming out and what the release date is. this is currently my most anticipated title.

who cares if it has good replay value on a demo.
not TOO thrilled about the 720P @ 20fps, NG did better, but it will be something people can live with.
so, bring it on people

You know, Sony was so fond of saying that the PS3 could handle 1080p, so why then are all the great games not supporting it, like this Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Oblivion. Who knows, maybe Heavenly Sword will end up supporting it, but at the moment, no. Let's just hope Lair and FF13 and GTA4 will, as well as all the other upcoming highly anticipated games

@ kingofwale:
1) Shase wasn't talking about good replay value on the demo. At least I assume shase isn't that retarded. He/She is talking about the GAME length.
2) It's 720p @ 30fps, not 20fps. To some, this isn't a big deal, but to mean, I'm anal retentive about such things as silly errors.

720p is fine, as when the pictures moving its still a fucking great picture!
But 30fps is going to be much more noticable vs a nice 60fps that I am hoping they will manage to push out for the release.

They said it's running at that resolution and fps at the moment, but who knows, it might change. Then again, I prefer motion blur instead of a higher frame rate.
