New Gran Turismo HD footage to leave you breathless

We mean just that -- it's Gran Turismo HD footage. Video, due out on the PS Store this Thursday/Friday, will show a new car: the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Z. This is true, however, don't hold your breath for any GTHD updates anytime soon -- this doesn't portend what you think it does.

Sony contacted CVG with this to say about the upcoming footage: "The new GTHD video is scheduled to go onto the PS Store this Friday, May 4. It's a bespoke video that was made for Nissan at the Geneva Motorshow." Sony continued, saying there's no big announcement coming and the video is just for "funsies" (not actually a quote from them) because the download has proved so popular. Sorry guys, we'll keep our eyes open for any GT5 info... whenever it comes around the bend.

seriously, whoever can squeeze out a decent games will sell millions. Even if the game doesn't deserve anywhere near that amount of sales.

Did you post to the wrong story. They're talking about releasing a video, not a game/update.

Also, I look forward to this video as Gran Turismo is one of my favorite franchises.

I don't know about me, I didn't buy my PS3 for watching videos for a game, I bought it for the GAME

which is vaporware for now. no release date, no details whatsoever.

dude, i know you didn't just compare test drive and project gotham to Gran Turismo and Dirt is coming out on both consoles so that's just pointless. forza, ok you've got a point...but it's still taken a year and a half to get the game out on the 360, gt5 should be out within a year and a half of the ps3 launch as well

Oh yes I did. I'm referring of course to the Xbox360 version of Test Drive Unlimited (not the crappy PS2 version), which is actually a whole lotta fun. It may not be a perfect racing sim, but it's not an over-the-top arcade racer either. Cars look real and there is a considerable amount of depth to how each car sounds and handles. Also, free-roaming MMO world is big plus!Just wanted to point out that for everyone getting blueballs for GT5 by now there ARE alternatives already available, and for $200 less. ;)
