Home beta starts today + leaked screenshots!

SCEE announced today (May 1st), via press release, that the first phase of the beta test for Home, the 3D, online, avatar based community for PlayStation 3 has begun.
Starting with an initially small group of both internal staff and known beta testers, the test will be opened up to many others at some point during the summer, including those registered on www.homebetatrial.com.
We also got a batch of leaked screenshots proving that Home is indeed live! You can check out this website for additional Home info.[Thanks, Thomas!]

pictures are kinda borin. but certain people got an email to join this home beta. a bigger beta will start in the summer.im guessing thats what the site is for

100,000 users eh on that server, I wonder what the average server will allow, and is that 100,000 registered users? am I going to have to queue if the server is full?

Tony, the only way you can be invited is if you're part of the GAP at playstation forum, needless to say I'm a GAP and received the invitation to apply for HOME, but haven't received the invitation to download Home yet... :(

Tragically it was me who took those screenshots, I know I shouldn't have but there was an annoying amount of disbelief that
A. the home beta was on.
B. It was the European trialists and f all to do with GAP.
I kept it outside of the "action" of course as that would just be gilding the lily and too much of an insult to the super people at Sony who gave the regular Euro trialists the first bite of the home beta.
