I don't know about the demo, but in the actual game the load times to start a game or return to the career manager screen are *one minute* ... yes, I started timing them after a while. They ranged from 55 - 65 seconds usually ...
NovaDevil @ May 2nd 2007 10:35AM
Yeah, the long load times and "somewhat" choppy framerate keep this from being the best sports game ever for the PSP. Still a very good game, especially considering that EA Sports has almost dropped developing for the PSP totally!
Alien @ May 2nd 2007 11:49AM
OMG , this is not a demo , its a monster :o
kingofwale @ May 2nd 2007 11:58AM
here's my tiny review of what went WRONG with this game.
my main complain is the career mode
Unlike MLB 06 (which is a great game)
*in 07, if you start your career as a pitcher in AL, you can't bat, you can't even FIELD.
*the default pitching camera is HORRIBLE! and you have to change it during every game.
*frame rate is HORRIBLE, 06 looks and feels a lot better. Go with the cheaper game please.
considering I can't field, I might as well go play Wii.
Colin @ May 2nd 2007 12:08PM
According to VG they've sold less than 30k units of this game in two months...now I know why.
trey @ May 2nd 2007 12:15PM
I hate when people complain about load times. With the graphics the PSP is throwing out, there is no need of complaint
carterman @ May 2nd 2007 1:05PM
@kingofwale: You do realize that you can play the classic Career mode, right?
kingofwale @ May 2nd 2007 1:14PM
@7
Yeah, I think I was playing the 'classic Career mode"
mike @ May 2nd 2007 2:07PM

Re: "I hate when people complain about load times. With the graphics the PSP is throwing out, there is no need of complaint"
That is the most idiotic thing I've heard all year.
yosly @ May 2nd 2007 3:58PM
i'm having trouble downloading the file. the folder is empty, can anybody help.
JimBob @ May 2nd 2007 6:26PM
Wow this is a pretty sad attempt at a downloadable demo. Sure the game is fun and the graphics are great, but it only lasts a few innings and it forces you back to the XMB at the end of each game. That means you have to sit through the excruciating load time again for every game!
Gh0s7_Hun73r @ May 2nd 2007 6:28PM
I dunno whats wrong with my Demo! I put the folder on psp game folder, I run it on my psp, the game enter, It appeears de loading screen for 1 or 2 seconds then goes back to the PSP menu, it pops out of the game:S
How can I solve my problem?
Michael @ May 3rd 2007 12:18AM
Ive been trying to d/l this demo and it wont work. It says "Invalid Archive", somebody fix the broken link.
Michael @ May 3rd 2007 4:29AM
Hey, Yoon, thanks for fixing the link! Got the demo up and running and WOW, I love it, hell I love baseball already so this makes my night! The presentation and graphics are WOW, PSP really handles this game well. Now I need to buy the actually (full) game!
Evertson @ May 3rd 2007 7:01PM
Soccer, basketball, baseball....we need tennis, football, hockey, boxing...hell any other sport...even golf...let's go!
Mike @ May 5th 2007 3:17AM
None of the demos work for me on 3.10 OE-A. Not Killzone, not Syphon Filter, probably not this. In the Game folder they come up as corrupt, in the game310 folder they lock up after the PSP splash screen...requiring I actually take the battery out because the power switch doesn't respond. Even before I flashed my PSP demos didn't work. Killzone still came up as corrupt even though I verified CRC values of the demo to make sure I got it from a legit source.

john @ May 14th 2007 1:13AM
this is so cool
Not you @ May 16th 2007 6:03PM
I think that this game is ultimately boring, the graphics and sound quality are immensely dull, the loading times (On the real game, of course) are simply ill-found, and this production is a waste of time and human energy.
steve @ May 16th 2007 10:08PM

this game demo is probable not worth ur time if the only other thing u have to do is blink. not only do agree with every one about the load times, but lets just put it this way from the time the loading started to when it ended i had time to take my summer vaction and work a 40 hr. week before it was finally have way done. i cant even explain wat i did with the other 3 weeks of waiting, download if u want to but i suggest not
