RUMOR: Square Enix registers a new title, new IP?
We don't know much more than what was posted up at the PS3Forums, but Square Enix has posted the title for a new game: The Last Remnant. As it isn't prefaced with a Final Fantasy moniker or any crazy latinese subtitle, we'd like to assume this has nothing to do with Final Fantasy XIII: Flablaba Nudey Krystals. If so, could Square Enix be creating a completely new IP? What system will this appear on?If my advanced RPG memory serves me well, the term "Remnant" was used in some Square Enix game to refer to something integral to the plot. As much as I wish it were true (and I know it's not), we'd like it to be a Vagrant Story spin-off or sequel, but it's not. If we knew what Square Enix "team" was behind this title, we'd have a better guess (the Ivalice Alliance is in charge of Tactics, Vagrant Story, and XII, for example). If you've got a guess, let us know!

Vagrant Story was flipping awesome it would be great if it was that. Hopefully its not the thrilling conclusion to the parasite eve trilogy. (no offense to PE but Vagrant Story takes my cake)

they should stop announcing/registering more titles and get some next gen games out. They are putting too many things on their plates. I am not sure how many developers they got but if FF12 took that long to make without that many new title announcements I fear we wont see FF13 for a long time (a great quality one that is)

It can't be KH rip off because Disney owns most of the characters.
but wouldn't it be GREAT if it has ALL the FF characters in and you get to battle all the bosses from every FF series?
That would be soooooo sweet.

sorta, but not a fighting game, more like KH but instead of Disney characters, on character will go into different FF world.
There are a few bosses I would love to fight with the new Gambit system.

7 - I don't think so, I think they mean a) JUST FF characters & bosses and b) actually worth playing.
That's not to say Ehrgeiz isn't, but as a concept it wasn't made the most of.
Unlikely but nice idea, really.
