Hot Shots Golf 5 putting video -- not for the feint of heart

Golf games are relatively simple. Line up your shot, charge your power meter and slam that funky white crater-ball as far as possible. Then you get to the green... and you have to putt. Not only do the dynamics of the game ostensibly shift, but the complexity and threshold of skill are both increased exponentially. Putting requires an avid desire to sink the shot in one go, often making you consider the wind speed, the tilt of the ground, the distance to the hole, the power behind your putt ... there's a lot more to consider, basically. I think you've embedded the wrong video. All I see is a play-through of a single hole.

This game is so much fun. You can download the demo from the Japanese store by just making a Japanese PSN account. Me and my friend were betting on rounds last night for $5.

Well...first I think you need to be predisposed to having an interest in golf.

By fun, for me, I mean easier controls and a faster paced game and more colorful graphic touches.

To me it is like the difference between say a Madden and a Blitz game...the mechanics and 'idea' are the same but the implementation and the 'depth' are different.

Fun is having to beat characters to use them. Getting points to spend on better equipment is cool. Multiplayer is the most fun since the controls are pretty easy to pick up on.
Finally having online MP for the first time is going to be awesome.

I dunno, I usually just try the demo and if my nipples get hard then I know it's a winner!

Uhh...that's just me though, so yanno. Might want to make sure you don't have the AC down low or you'll be on a buying spree and unhappy with your games... ;)
