Official Final Fantasy Dissidia site open - coming to PSP! [UPDATE]

The official site for Final Fantasy Dissidia has opened today. Tragically, there's very little to it beyond a short flash intro. "Fantasy is endless", it says. You don't say. Twelve "Final" Fantasies so far with a decade more to come? Some might definitely call that endless. Fine by me, I'll take as much as they can give. As the site says, more information will be revealed at the Square Enix Party later this month.

The Dissidia flash itself is a bit bare, despite some pretty ~~character~~ logo art by ~~Nomura~~ Yoshitaka Amano. By checking another part of the Square Enix website (namely the PSP section of the upcoming games list), we can see Dissidia nestled at the top, confirming our suspicions that it will definitely be coming to our favourite handheld. Check it out and see for yourself!

We'll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

[UPDATE] The logo art is by Yoshitaka Amano, not Tetsuya Nomura as originally thought. Nomura will, however, be doing the character art for the game itself.

as excited as I am tat a new RGP game from Enix to my PSP? I have to ask, WHERE'S MY CRISIS CORE! it said 07 on the company link, it better be there!

I swear to god I will pre-order that game the second it comes out.

How big is Enix, they are making over 10 games at once. woah! I wonder how many teams they have.

I knew someone would beaten me to the tip. Anyway, I am pretty sure this will set in the FF13 world.Square has four teams working on FF titles: one works on the main 'series', one works on anything related to Invalice(sp?), another works on their MMO, and the last works on that pay-600-dollars-just-to-play-one-game, Crystal Chronicles.

You mean they have a team on xbox with online for 2 years or PS3 with online for ever (and BD/wireless too). So confusing.

I think he means you need 4 GBAs/DSs to play 4 player. God I hate FF:CC and zelda 4 swords for that bs.

Not sure if you read it right but its ment to have Nomura CHARACTER DESIGNS, the actual characters in game are designed by Nomura, Amano always designs the logos

The only characters I see are those on the logo and those are Amanos.

Appologies for bad phrasing, what I ment was the actual logo there is designed by Amano like all FF logos but the character designs would be by Nomura. I read this article elsewhere before posting here so I didn't spot the mistake saying the logo was Nomura

Why do we get teased with that sweet Amano artwork, then be forced to suffer through boring, overly complex (come on, how many layers of clothing are necesary?, Are we to expect but a feminine man can cary -let alone swing in violent repetition- that hulking broad-sword?) character designs?

I can't say I'm really excited about "Final Fantasy Sussudio" since we know next to nothing bout it, but let's hope it's an RPG and not - please not - a fighting game like Ehrgeiz. I like fighting games, but with the only exception being Tobal 2, I don't like Square-made ones.

My 600 dollar hyperbole was directed at Crystal Chronicles.

The FFXI(the FF MMO team) team works on maintaining their servers( I am unsure about the how 360 servers work) for PC and PS2. I am sure they do the routine updates and add new content like most MMO developers.

Im a huge FFXI fan! But not so much time to play anymore due to work.. however I started to buy Gil from a site www.mogs.com to craft up goldsmithing.. now im selling the Gil back to Mogs and have doubled what i originally invested.. very cool day and age we live in now!
