Want to burn some Witches, or some evil zombie demons?

There's nothing quite like controlling a sexy heroine in a scantily-clad battle against the forces of darkness. Considering a 2008 release on multiple platforms is a game with just that premise, currently titled project Witches. As it's posted on the project's site, we'll sit here and summarize the overview and key features like good little boys.A third-person tactical action game set in medieval times beckons you to control Gwen, the uh, sultry main heroine who resists the dark power of some creatures known as Hordes of the Beast (the Beast being, of course, Satan) and sets off on a quest to free mankind from the slavery they are under. You can play it offline and online -- the levels are set up so cooperative play is pretty much imperative. But if you'd rather go it alone, you have some NPC buddies that would love to join in.
We're not sure what to make of this, but from the early screenshots, clothes are pretty much optional. You know those movies that have a decent, if overdone, premise but spice it up by having girls get naked or really unnecessary deaths, club dancing, or sex? Well, they try to spice it up. We're worried this game will suffer from that. It'll be all "yeah it's a hack n' slash with team elements... but our girls are wearing thongs and nothing else! So it's better." Hmm. We'll see.

Ya I am a bit worried about that as well. Its never a good sign when the devs decide to put as little clothes as possible on their female characters.
I am also hesitant about Heavenly Sword. I mean it just seems foolish to do that to the main character. I don't particularly want to play a heroine who is nothing but eye candy for some teenage boy. I just just imagine the devs:
"This game is going to totally rock! But just in case it doesn't we've decided not to give her any clothes...you know...just in case."

Who's is going to fight all the evil tentacle monsters if not half naked women? Fully clothed women, that's who's not. What? no tentacle monsters. Sales -1.

Reminds me kinda of Koudelka. But at least she doesnt look as slutty as the DOA girls.

Revistronic is at the moment developing three Titles for multiple platforms, Donkey Xote (PS2, PSP, DS, PC) Fenimore Fillmore's Revenge (PC) and Project Witches (PS3, Xbox360, Wii & PC).

I figured as much... a small company (at least i never heard of it) like that probably cant survive making an exclusive unless being supported by bags of cash like Mistwalker has been. If Mistwalker was actually independent they probably wouldve went bankrupt with the Blue Dragon flop in japan.

@shase...just by the way...Blue Dragon has sold 200k units on a system in Japan that has sold about 400k units...that is a 50% attach rate!

I know. But profit is the bottom line. And in that sense it did flop. I am not saying its a bad game(i personally wont play it- cant stand toriyama's design) its just that if Mistwalker wasnt being fully funded by MS they wouldve gone bankrupt or wouldnt be starting so many projects and be forced to make Blue dragon multiplat.

The fact that Blue Dragon isn't causing the people of Japan to rush out and grab a very affordable system(compared to Wii too) is why it's considered a flop, and then when you put attach rate and sales it still doesn't make the picture any prettier.
I don't mind if the female characters are wearing next to nothing as long as it's a kick ass game. If the amount of clothing missing determines how good the game is then maybe less is more here seeing as how mediocre the Bloodrayne games were, with her full body suit and all... ;)
It says nothing but a thong, but im seeing a thong and top here. False advertisement. Time to go play the hot tub game again on GoW2.
