Rampart trailer is so darn exciting!
We're kidding. Why does this need to be in HD, anyway? In any case, if you were able to think back to the days where Rampart was pretty awesome, then you'll enjoy this trailer's attempt to instill you with the notion there is some high-octane action to be found in this classic title. If you want to stroll down memory lane, watch the trailer. It does bring back memories. It was fun. But no matter how perfect a transition the game may make to the PlayStation Network, that doesn't mean it's still fun. We'll see this Thursday.

Absolutely ridiculous! I'm tired of all these old school and Psone titles. Give us demos of next-gen games or some better next-gen arcade titles. Sony is moving way to slow. They really need to pick up the pace.

Man I remember playing Rampart on the NES, it is just about the most arbitrarily scored game of all time. One time I didn't have any cannons for like 3 turns and somehow managed to beat my friend.

Why is everyone bashing these old games? They were great. I happen to love Rampart and it's one more reason I will one day own a PS3 (GT and Ratchet and Clank being the others). I frequently find more enjoyment out of old games than new ones.

What is the point in saying its 1080p if all they did is turn up the emulators resolution?
I mean if I play ZSNES at 1920x1080, does that mean I can advertise it as 1080p? cause it doesn't look any better.

Hey, lets just be happy new stuff is starting to roll out every week. And for $4.99 what do expect. They are making new next gen downloads look at Stardust HD, etc. give it time they will catch up!

Draco makes a good point. The least they could have done is vectorized the graphics and cleaned up the audio. You can't even call these games ports.

I downloaded that trailer on my PS3 and sat there confused for the first shots. I was thinking, it just had to be a remake, and the hi-def shots were coming.
They never came.
Unecessary trailer.

I agree with Draco and popfrogs. Besides, I hate the trailer. Why do they have to add fire, and phrases like a hollywood film trailer, just like they do with stranglehold and other games like it, as if it had special effects, when in the end you get NES like graphics? I hate to see that kind of contrast. It's mind retardant.
Regardless, I have never played the game, and it looks damned fun.
