It looks like Incognito was
telling the truth --
Warhawk is indeed having a beta and it looks like it is starting sooner than was expected. A user on PS3 Forums just
received an e-mail inviting him to become a potential beta tester for the sci-fi combat game. The problem? Only Sony RLS members got the invites, and you can only become a member of RLS if you work for certain retail store that sells PS3s. It is supposed to be more exclusive than the GAP membership that they based the private Home beta on. I'm getting screwed again!
The initial e-mail didn't include a date for the start of the beta, but if they're recruiting players now, you can be guaranteed it will start in the near future. It is likely that this is only phase one of the beta (much like with Home), so don't worry too much - there should still be be more chances later to get into the
Warhawk beta. We'll let you know as soon as we know more.

WHAT! I didn`t get into the gap so that i`m left out of some things here! Maybe Colin was right we gap members are getting screwed again! I thought gap was the most exclusive thing you could join. Maybe not. Just how exclusive is Sony RLS compered to gap? Give us gapers a break SONY!!!

DAMN IT!!!
Sony, make people buy a crappy game so they can get the Beta. ;)
I kid I kid, whatever dude, if you won't give me the beta, I will just move to another game. TAKE THAT!

Sounds cool.

I hope they can balance the damage for the ground units, aeroplanes and vehicles. I could get pretty unfair if your air support team sucks and you keep getting killed by shelling sprees.
Has anyone herd how much this game is going to be on the store for?
P.S NBA 07 sucks, not even worth the demo download.

everyone calm down, I'm not a member of GAP or RLS and i was able to sign up for the beta this morning and it didn't ask if i was a member of anything. I'm waiting for an e-mail reply but I think i'm in.

@10 - Just because you signed up doesn't justify you saying "i think i'm in."
I signed up for the Home beta after being a GAP member for half a decade now. A week later, I received a consolatory email saying that I might get in on the next phase of the Home beta but I wasn't getting into the initial. To say I was dissapointed would be an understatement.
The truth about all of this is: invite Betas like this, where users are randomly selected from a pool, are generally closed to a certain amount of people at first. Home's initial run got 15,000 in and will expand later this summer.
Getting into a beta is like winning a raffle drawing: you just have to be lucky. It has nothing to do with if you signed up quickly enough, if you're a RLS or GAP member, if you've kissed Sony's butt for a decade...None of it matters.
It's all about the random draw.
Hope I get in, but after the Home beta, I'm not holding my breath. I never had much luck with random drawings anyway.
