GRAW 2 gets some extra features on the PS3

Tom Clancy's GRAW2 is about to hit the PlayStation 3 and we've all been wondering a few things: any noticeable differences between this and the 360 version? Additional content? Will multiplayer function execute adequately, or fall short in matchmaking skills compared to Live? While we don't have all the answers to these questions, we can at least address some of them -- what's new for the PS3 version and what's been added. Let's list it up!

SixAxis features: Controller features used for Mitchell and Cross-com control
SP: Drive the supports (drone, M.U.L.E.) with the SixAxis
SP/MP: Change Mitchell stances with the SixAxis
SP: change the Rules of Engagement with the SixAxis
Consistency increased between SP & MP: Scope, Movement, Aiming
PS3 specific adaptation of controls: Menus, Shoot button
14 additional maps resulting in a total of 32 multiplayer maps
32 new adversarial multiplayer maps of up to 16 players, an expanded arsenal of multinational weapons, character customization options, new optimizing re-spawn system, new female operatives and hundreds of new game mode options are available.
2 new coop modes, "Evasion" and "Exfiltration", to vary the game experience in multiplayer.
6 missions co-op campaign with a fully immersive experience and storyline. Featuring open-ended play that rewards teamwork as you play with up to sixteen players.

So it seems there have been quite a few delicious changes to the basic frame of the title between then and its release on the PS3. Still a mystery, however, is if all will pan out and operate smoothly. Ports aren't kind to the PS3, but if they've put so much effort into adding stuff to the game, they should put the effort to make it work well, too.

is this "exclusive" stuff like the Double agent material where 360 users got an update on their copy? 360 users will most likely get it one way or another - free update or purchase

of course, just like how GRAW2's upgrade 1.01 where it lets you use the sixaxis controller.

why don't you just READ the list and then compare with your own game?

Having said that, No thanks, if I wanted to play shooters on a console, I'd go buy a 360 and 3 years replacement warranty.

I don't even want this game, but what I'm interested in is how good of a port this is. The way the developers half-assed the porting of Double Agent and FEAR I really hope GRAW2 and R6 Vegas are done right. If I hear another review saying the PS3 version of a game doesn't look nearly as good as it did on the 360 I'm going to set something on fire.

I bet the 14 extra maps that go with the PS3 version include the "throwback" ones which we're currently being forced to pay for.

Anyhow, now that I'm done bitching, PS3 owners should get this game if it ports well. The single player is quite spectacular and the multiplayer is fun as hell.

Oh you mean the maps that are available in the Live Marketplace? The other little additions are very minor. And there is no way that the online will compare to LIVE. The matchmaking is flawless on live and even the voices sound better... in Resistance every sounds like they had their balls surgically removed. Too bad this game is already 7 months late and still is not out. I love my PS3 is is clearly superior HARDWARE too bad the 360 is a superior GAMING CONSOLE (at the moment). If I only had a PS3 I would be pissed... then again maybe I wouldnt considering I would not know what I am missing out on, and you know what they say "Ignorence is bliss".

Ummm well yea it is my opinion, but my opinion is based off of my Playstation 3 and the few online games I have vs. my Xbox 360 and over 15 online games I have. How about you? How does your experiences on the Playstation network compare to yours on LIVE? Is there anyone that has experienced both that disagree with me?

I completely disagree. From the looks of things, Home will be vastly superior to LIVE once it's been rolled out.

You morons. When I said "If I only had a PS3" I meant as my ONLY SYSTEM. I have both so I dont ONLY have a PS3. Wow you guys are idiots (or maybe I worded it poorly). And how will Home be better than LIVE. HAve you ever used LIVE. Honme and Live look to be completely different things. Live is more for matchmaking and managing friends. Home is more of a community thing and does not put as much focus on playing actual online PS3 games themselves.

He said he loves his PS3, that it is the best HARDWARE. And then he said that he'd be ticked if all he had was the PS3...meaning he's lucky the PS3 isn't ALL he has...meaning he DOES have a PS3.
