Rumor: Team Ico might be developing two PS3 titles
There hasn't been a whole lot on the news front about Team Ico's next offering for the PS3, at least until now. The PS3 forums are alive with whispers of not one, but two new games from the team that first brought the critical darling Ico our way, back in 2001. At the recent Motorstorm event in Germany, a source claims to have, "talked to a product manager of Sony PlayStation Germany" who advised, "Team Ico is actually developing two games at once with one being close to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in terms of atmosphere and setting." The claim is pretty rich, but if it bears fruit, we'll have two more PS3 games to get excited about. No official word on such claims from the Sony front yet, but if we wish hard enough, maybe we'll hear something during E3 in July. [Via hiddenawaygames]

When you have words like "ICO" "Develop" "PS3 games" in a sentence.
that's enough to make me drool, Shadow is one of the MOST underrated game of all time. and I personally LOVED it.

Well it was said in a 2/07 issue of Famitsu that Team ICO was working on a PS3 game. This about right. Of course they work under Sony, so it seems like it was only a matter of time.

I'd like to just point out now that they are one of the reasons I bought a ps3.
I knew one was coming, but two titles? Yes and please.

I'm assuming these are exclusive titles. The more games the merrier but Sony needs to get some cashflow from there 1st and 2nd party games.

Everyone seems to be worried about the PS3 but I think Sony has some tricks up its sleaves this fall. There have been some minor hints of other Sony sponsored games that could just pop out of nowhere.
Like Afrika
Anybody got any news on Afrika???
massive_98 @ May 16th 2007 10:36PM
Anyone heard any news about Afrika? I am so interested by this game.
NBA 07 sucks. Worst gameplay ever. Cmon Sony. Even 2K sports did a better job than you.

IGN says that at the end of September Afrika was 30% done. (It also says Lair was about 50%) So maybe a fall release for the most mysterious game around.
Wouldn't it be awesome if it was like a animal growing up game. You start as a baby tiger and grow up to eat zebras and poachers. And you walk/run all over an African grassland.
Team Ico is an awesome devoloper. Good to have them onboard.
Sony is really setting themselves up for a big fall(season).

just pray Afrika isn't going to end up like a hunting game.
I hope those two games come in between this fall fall/christmas and whenever FFXIII releases.
that should fill some nice gap there.

Afrika is supposedly a game in which you work as a photographer for National Geographic. I may be wrong though.

I am going to say I think one is a PSP game in the Past Team Ico said they would like to make a PSP game and I even have the link on gamespot where it says that.
Also if it is not a PSP game I think the other one is a PSN game.

Team Ico is going to release a new game for the PS3? We're saved!!! Everything is going to be okay, guys!!! The PS3 is going to make it after all!!! Now all we have to do is wait for them to release it (or at least give some more info on the game) and PS3s wil go flying off the shelves.

I have to admit something. I never owned a PS2, never even played one, never even walked past a kiosk in a store or bothered learning about any of its games... until Shadow of the Collossus. That game alone convinced me to get a PS2 in 2005, even though I already owned a Gamecube and Xbox and had been enjoying them for years. That's how much I'm anticipating this game. It WILL get me to buy a PS3.

If this is indeed shadow of the colossus 2, I could care less if the PS3 fails as long as I have this one game! The original was so epic and the first boss battle had me hooked. Such an amazing game.
