The one game that just couldn't decide what to be -- retail, download, retail, download, online, offline, online, etc -- has graced us with a new gallery and let us just say: wow. This game looks fantastic. For a title that you download off of the internet and stick directly on your hard drive, this is surely unprecedented. We're very excited for
WarHawk to just release already, but we've got to wait until they actually decide once and for all what form of distribution they'll release it on. Right now, it appears as though it'll come in both retail and online versions. It probably will change a few more times. For now, check out a video after the break.

I hope it's retail also. I only have a 20 gig hdd, and i'm too lazy and cheap to change it. I have no idea how this game can't compete with halo's multiplayer graphics-wise as well as gameplay. I saw the plane footage, which looks even more impressive. I wonder though, do the clouds move at all? I thought the hot air ballons flying in the sky in motorstorm were pretty cool, until I realized that they don't move at all. next gen games need real wind physics like the real water physics in that upcoming hydrophobia game if there's such a thing. going off topic, that hydrophobia game may have real reflecting and refracting of light, but it doesn't refract or reflect the light from the water to the walls AT ALL. Look at screen shots of FAR CRY and FEAR in the indoor water areas, and look at the light effects on the wall. Well this supposedly very realistic water physics engine for hydrophobia is missing that COMPLETELY... wtf. Did they forget? Actually i'm not sure if far cry had that effect, but FEAR definitely did.
