SGD '07: Rainbow Six: Vegas screenshots are gorgeous

Straight from this week's Sony's Gamer's Day comes three beautiful looking shots of the PlayStation 3 version of Rainbow Six: Vegas. We've been waiting for this title for a while, can't wait for it personally. I just hope that they're able to keep the online play as good as the 360's play is. As usual, the screenshots look excellent. Look for this game on shelves on the 12th of June.

That's not just this blog, the entire Weblogs group has that problem. I'm assuming it's in the software.

Holy! Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first time we've seen screenshots from the PS3 build. Very cool to see that they're actually porting this game well.

I've been waiting for this game for months... Its the main reason why I haven't bought another game lately is because i want all my time dedicated to this game. Even though, this game looks goregous, I just hope I didn't wait for nothing (knock on wood)...

Good game. Too bad I have been playing it for the past 7 months on the 360 and am done with it now. I wonder if it will be a worthwhile purchase for PS3 considering its main draw is the online play and the PSN has its fair share of problems...

showstopper... wat kinda of problems are you referring to in regards to psn?
I admit, I've only played mp on resistance and motorstorm, and they seem pretty good for a console. I prefer pc multiplayer 20x more than either 360 and ps3 combined, but I dunno what else your expecting from psn. i've never lagged. aside from actually playing the multiplayer portion, there are only 2 other things I care about: well designed interface/menus, and most importantly no lag. I can't say much about the former, but I never had trouble with the latter, that is until my freakin comcast cable craps out. Can't wait for fios to come to my neighborhood. 2.5 GB/s CONSTANT vs cable's .3-1 GB/s, and fios is cheaper and it can go faster in the future if you're willing to pay extra, while you'll have to kill all your neighbors to improve your cable speed. Thanks to comcast, i've actually considered it. Sorry for getting sidetracked, but as I was saying, unless my comcast doesn't die, I never lag in these games, and that means a shit load considering psn is free. I would like to believe all the advertising in home will pay for psn. No? I'm completely guessing. Well let me know, I notice your comments often, and you usually sound informed ;)

Ok i'm confused because 1up said they got a hands on with this game. And they said that it was'nt as sharp as the 360 version and the texture were flat and not as good as the 360 version. They also said while the aim was accurate the controls felt kind of loose and do'nt accelerate as fast as the 360 version and the PS3 will be getting a port that looks a little worse than the 360 and PC versions. So will it look the same or better or worse than the 360 and PC versions?Because i'm very interested in knowing so i won't make the same mistake like i did with SCDA.
