GTA IV special edition revealed for just $90 -- bargain or bust?
When you buy Grand Theft Auto IV, do you just want that lousy game disc? Or do you want a bangin' cluster of extras that serve very little purpose other than aesthetic pleasure? We're not saying that isn't a big bonus, but they don't serve much else. The GTAIV special edition has been announced for a pretty penny -- $90, to be We're not done. Along with all that crap, you get a set of keys for the safety deposit box, complete with keychain featuring some logo of the game, we imagine. This is a nice gesture and for the price, considering what you get, it's a steal. No pun intended. Now we've just got to keep our fingers crossed that PS3-loyalists will get some of the episodic content promised "exclusively" to the 360 crowd. Maybe we can get that jammed onto our Blu-ray discs and pay a couple extra bucks? Who knows.

For 90 bones they should include something useful, like a Bluetooth headset or an extra controller.

Ok... but what's with the duffel bag? Am I packing up and leaving home?

It all comes down to what people are willing to pay. However, the merchandise included with this LE sounds much better than most LE packs. At least you can use the bag, key chain, and soundtrack. There are a lot of people who reserved the $120 LE Halo 3 version which comes with a Helmet. Having said that, is this 'extra' swag worth the extra money spent above and beyond the game itself?
Personally, I rarely purchase LE versions of games. The only LE version I have ever purchased was Oblivion because I wanted the coin, the pouch for the coin, and the added book. Of course that LE version was only $10 more than the standard version so it made sense.

im still very frustrated that the PS3 version is crippled because of the inferior storage medium M$ chose. Think of how glorious GTAIV would be if they had free reign on the 50GB that Blu-Ray offers?? Thanks Rockstar for choosing the douche camp.
