PlayStation Network integrated into next firmware
The soon-to-be-released PSP firmware 3.50 is starting the slow process of integrating the PlayStation Network onto the handheld. When using Advanced Remote Play, users will be required to log-in using their PSN ID (pictured, right). Although this is a feature only applicable for those with PS3 systems, its exciting to see the PSN slowly appear on the system. Hopefully, this is a sign that future integration is not too far off: we can't wait to get a PlayStation Store and a single user ID for multiplayer games. I wonder if the firmwares will ever get to a point were an OE version of it would not be possible?

thatpspkid: it's likely that as long as firmware is still decrypted and Dark_Alex and crew are still interested, OE firmwares will still continue to be pumped out.

@6: It wouldn't take any longer than it does on your PS3 unless your internet connection's download speed exceeds 11mbit/s, and seeing as we're lucky to break 400k/s downloading from the PS Store(which is 3.2 megabits), it's unlikely there'd be any difference.
