If you love your consoles more than your car, buy a dust cover
Welcome to another installment of random accessories for your PlayStation 3! Today, we're not going to push any cooling systems or faceplate decals. Today we bring you something that, despite sounding absolutely ludicrous, may actually be a decent investment. It's a dust cover for your PS3. Not unlike covers you put on your valuable car to keep sun damage, acid rain, or whatever else from damaging it, this cover will keep the dust from your PS3 for just twenty bucks. Obviously. While trying to play your PS3 with the dust cover on is very stupid, keeping it covered whilst off will keep a lot of dust from seeping into some of those nooks and crannies. If you don't regularly spray compressed air into your system to blow the dust out, your system will not last very long. Just ask our Dreamcast. If you're a total clean freak with your system, this might be a good idea. If you take care of your PS3 anyway, don't worry about it. We think the darn thing collects dust like a vacuum cleaner, but that's partially because it's shiny and black. Dust shows up pretty easily on that.

well, the only xbot here in Scott and I don't think he's witty enough to come up with a real insult anyway.
Besides, my PS3 is too busy curing cancer to sit there doing nothing. :)

Mine doesn't get that insanely dusty. Or maybe it's just that I clean my house once in a while. Although, Double-Sided Quilted Periwinkle sounds friggin awesome.
Who wants to take bets on whether someone will eventually buy one of these and put it over a ps3 that's folding, and then wonder why their ps3 is broken...

ENOUGH about the PS3 surface complaints! Unless you're constantly moving it around with your hands, the PS3 should say clean. Why would you be handling it so much anyway? How often do you move your TV around? As far as dust, try using one of those anti-static eyeglass sprays or microfiber clothes once a month - they will work.
Man, I'd hate to see what the rest of your house looks like...

Now, we can just sit back and wait for the xbots to come and tell us the real reason why the PS3 collects dust.

We don't need anything witty to say, the article speaks for itself. The PS3 needs a dust cover so buy it here.

A dust cover for the shiny finish? Yea rite! The Sony consoles are the only ones where you should use a dust cover, because they are prone to breakdowns and every little things helps after forking over $600. Does a Wii need a dust cover? Nope, it's durable.
