Sony Ericsson files PSP-esque gaming phone patent
Sony Ericsson has recently filed a patent for a gaming phone that looks more than a little inspired by the PSP. The ability to play games is a central focus of the device, as indicated by the need to suspend games for phone calls (pictured, above). Sony has hinted time and time again at the possibility of a PlayStation phone ... it looks like this is taking the idea one step closer to reality.

oh great, another phone with better processing power than DS. ;)
I have no idea why they are making this phone. Most people I know who play games on the phone is ONLY doing it to kill time. Tetris would be enough.
but if Sony can output TV on that thing, I might consider.

I must say, I prefer that a phone knows which way I'm holding it and adjust the display accordingly rather than having to manually twist the screen, see:

How do you 'prefer' it if you've never used it?
I prefer commentators that can think their way out of a box...I guess none of us can get everything we want.

That looks horrible and it will be incredibly expensive. They need to keep this. The phone looks fragile.

Kspraydad, I prefer Remedios Varo to Joan Miró yet I've never used either surrealist. In other words, get your carrot out of your turnip you daft duck.
