PS3 Poll Police: Would you like to see PS3 Fanboy Theatre?

Last week we asked what type of game you were sick of seeing. Now, we got a lot of issues with the question, like "where's the FPS" or "where's the movie tie-ins" among others. We've got an excuse ready for you, so you can either buy it or say we're totally trying to dodge the bullet. We asked what type of game, not genre. An FPS is a genre of games -- WWII themes are a type. As for the movie tie-ins? Well, nobody plays those, so they don't count anyway.
With that out of the way, clearly you can see that people are sick and tired of games centering around World War II. Close behind are "street" style racing games, JRPG's, and classic arcade titles. We claim shenanigans on the JRPG vote, since there aren't more than a handful on all the next-gen consoles combined. Or the old Xbox. Or the GameCube. Only the PS2. But there sure were a lot on the PS2.
Thanks for voting, guys! We'll see you next week!

I have given up on the playstation browser. It is just too slow, so this would probably take forever.

I don't see why not. PS3 can use all the content it can get since the PSN is currently not up to par.

Id rather see the effort go towards making the PSN better, and better games available through PSN. not another pointless project like this.

Unfortunately adam, I don't think ndoerr has the power to make PSN better =P. He MIGHT! But if not, why not start this theatre thing lol.

You get all those videos on us.playstation.com
Why would you waste disc space on game/movie trailers.
Alex Filipovic @ Jun 3rd 2007 6:05PM
Yeah sure do this but make the videos longer then on the pspfanboy website

This reminds me... Whatever happened to fan art fridays that were planned? No submissions?

This would be a sweet and welcome idea. I think it should offer content not currently on the PSN since it would bett a lot quicker hitting the website than the store. I hope you guys don't have a bandwidth cap.

Why is it that here there are two(2) options to vote for, but when you go to the results page there are four(4)? Just wanted to throw that out there.

@ Vincent -- because I'm lazy. Actually, when I changed the code for the actual poll to have two answers, I didn't think the results would still have those other options in there. Not that it matters -- it's a yes/no question. Hope that clears it up =P

I'd wait until the PS3 gets RSS support like the PSP, then try this idea again. There will be lots of video content on the PS Store anyhow. The browser is a little cumbersome, but if you were to put your videos out on a feed, it would probably get more attention/traffic. Just a thought.
