The
Poll Police need to bring you in for questioning again, this time to see if you've been harboring foreign consoles in your media center. While it's not a crime, we are curious to see what console has held the most of your love. Not necessarily gauged in playtime, but the console that really got you into gaming, or had that one game you just could not get enough of. We're not going to be putting every console known to man on the poll, but we'll cover the heavy-hitters.
There are obviously a lot of choices, so we'll obviously need a lot of answers! If you want to see the results of last weeks poll, we'll discuss it after the jump.
The question was whether or not you'd like to see PS3 Fanboy Theater, where we'd stick movie and game trailers in high definition for your downloading pleasure, playable on your PS3. The results speak for themselves -- you would mostly love to watch whatever we've got for you. While they won't be antics, they will be fun. So expect more news on this topic later on. As always, thanks for voting!

Sega Saturn! Mr. Bones was the best game ever. Lunacy was awesome as well.
Tahiri @ Jun 10th 2007 8:54PM
PSP is my favorite out of all those
Service_Games @ Jun 10th 2007 6:46PM
I'm gonna have to go with the Dreamcast on this one.
Conor @ Jun 10th 2007 7:00PM
I said playstation the 2nd because of the global impact it made and the outstanding games that are on it. I've no doubt the PS3 will follow it's footsteps and even surpass the impact it has made, but in terms of the here and now the PS2 has it by a long shot with the history of it being the fastest selling console of all time.
Vincent060 @ Jun 10th 2007 7:04PM
I'm with Conor on this one.
KeeferMadness @ Jun 10th 2007 7:20PM
Love you PS3 Fanboy but these results have a potential to be pretty biased.

TurboGrafx 16

No Neo-Geo? Come on. Anyway, its a tie between SNES and PS1 for me. PS3 could top them both if it starts getting games soon.
Matt B @ Jun 10th 2007 8:04PM
I have had many of those systems in the past. The PS3 is my favorite. None of the others ever made me say "WOW"!
Naaiif @ Jun 10th 2007 8:23PM
It's pathetic how many votes the ps3 has lol, it's not even been out a year and still doesn't have a truly defining title yet. I have no doubt it will in future, but how can you state that the ps3 is your favourite yet?
It was close between the SNES and the ps1 for me, but i chose the ps1 because my favourite game FF7 was on it, and the ps1 was just the king of RPGs (favourite genre). Although the SNES had it's fair share of beauties.
GRT @ Jun 10th 2007 8:35PM
3DO isn't on the list, so I can't vote on it. Sure it's really easy to look back and laugh, but at the time, it delivered gaming like you couldn't find anywhere else. So in terms of the biggest "OMG LOOK AT THAT!" when I first turned it on, the 3DO would win.
dontlikeitmodit @ Jun 10th 2007 8:37PM
No Intellevision or Colecovision?
I really loved Venture and Smurf's back in the day.
Showing my age, I was really torn as the console games didn't even come close to the graphic quality of the Arcade game versions. I purchased a 2600, Colecovision, a NES, and a SNES. After that computer games were just above and beyond the console market for me.
Draco @ Jun 10th 2007 8:54PM
I would have to say Genesis.
Phantasy Star 4, Shinning Force 1 and 2, and the NHL games were great. easy controller to handle too (the 6 button controller was my favorite controller.)
Ninegauger @ Jun 10th 2007 10:03PM
Nintendo 64... it gave us the analog thumb sticks and trigger buttons and rumble... others have copied all that but Ocarina of Time is still pretty much the best game of all time... plus Mario 64 blew me away when it came out, a true system seller that one.
Goldeneye hasn't aged well, but it was rad when it came out.
Jose El Maton @ Jun 10th 2007 10:04PM
Playstation the 1st. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver. Um-azing.

Is it fair to judge when I have only owned a PS3 and an Original Xbox?
I choose PS3 but still my favourite game is on the box.
World Series Baseball. It has the best franchise mode ever. It is really fun to have your players always growing year to year and choosing between three 100 overall LFers.
Its nice to look at your players stats and have them with a 100 AVG and 100 PWR. And with .342 and 59 homeruns. I am in the year 2137 in my franchise.
I just keep playing and playing in the unlimited years. I don't want a 30 year cap on my franchise I want to play until I am bored
I am way off topic.

Loved the Turbo Grafx with the turbo express. Small cards that fit both. Although the cd was a real bust just like the genesis cd add-on. With the PS3 playing previous version games upconverted and any video I want, it's the PS3 for me.

OOh, tough one!
I'm torn between the original NES and the Dreamcast.
I ended up choosing original NES since the Dreamcast met an early demise.
Andir3.0 @ Jun 11th 2007 12:12AM
Of course the PS3 is a valid choice. Of all the consoles I've owned (NES, SNES, N64, PS2, GC) the PS3 is the most capable device from my perspective! The games are coming, so that's not a concern, but for the time being if I'm not playing Carbon or Motorstorm, I'm streaming a movie off my Linux Server (mediatomb) or playing one of my PS2 games. I would have said PS2, but the PS3 totally replaces it, then some.
baddog70 @ Jun 11th 2007 2:09AM
Colecovision!!!!

"Wheres the PC!"~PClver
The PC, by definition, is not a console. *slow clap*
Anyways, Sega Genesis FTW!
afr @ Jun 11th 2007 3:04AM
Nintendo 64 FTW! So many great memories, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye *sob* Mario Party *starts crying*
dantemustdie @ Jun 11th 2007 3:11AM
Sorry to show my age, but I don't think it's fair to put the new-gen systems in this list.
I don't know why it doesn't sit well with me.
Maybe it's because I'm old fashioned when it comes to my video games.
I picked super nintendo all the way, still my favorite system after all of these years.
Geinfish @ Jun 11th 2007 6:09AM
It was between snes and ps1 for me but I still play snes games every now and then, not so much for ps1 so snes.
Bangbang... @ Jun 11th 2007 7:52AM
So many good choices, but i have to say its a tie between the Genesis and 360. The Genesis was back when almost every game was exclusive and new games came at a steady flow. It also had the best controller for 2D fighers and action adventure games. Easily one of my favorite consoles ever. As for my 360, it has not let me down yet. Games come monthly and its ablity to act as a media hub never fails to impress friends(Vongo+360= videos on demand)and video marketplace is always there when you want the new releases and Tv shows in HD.
tacoman @ Jun 11th 2007 12:01PM
Anyone who says the SNES was not the greatest console of all time is either ignorant or lying.
Insomniac @ Jun 11th 2007 4:26PM
id say the mega drive, yes i know its a genesis with a different name, but still, you coulda done a slash, no?
JKPierce @ Jun 11th 2007 4:42PM
Not enough Genesis votes, likely accredited to young'uns.
John @ Jun 11th 2007 9:51PM
You guys (sob) didn't mention (sob) the Commodore 64... while technically a computer (but so is the ps3, right?), it was the most-selling 8-bit computer of it's time, and it had amazing games, not to mention the programming abilities, whence we all could flex our brain muscles and use sprites and sound to make incredible (we thought) demos with graphics, animation and sound, something that no one could do on... consoles.
Don't hate me! I'm just sayin!
fiddlydoodaa @ Jul 1st 2007 8:50AM
i like the sony dreamcast...naturally
