Motorstorm patch delayed; Sony bummed

We told you it was due out today, and as far as we knew we were telling the truth. Unfortunately there's been a hiccup with the upcoming Motorstorm patch. Felice Standifer, the Senior US Producer for Motorstorm, has updated the Playstation.Blog to say that there's a bug that could prevent connection with the PlayStation Network. Not something that would be very popular in an update containing a new Time Attack mode, which allows the up- and downloading of time "ghosts" to race against.

Needless to say, Sony are bummed that they haven't been able to deliver the patch on time. We're asked to bear with them until the product is fully ready, which is fine by us. We know it's a cliche but we would much rather wait for all the kinks to be removed than to be given a broken patch.

Nope - It IS out today. At least for EU players. Just downloaded it. All working nicely. The earlier problem has been sorted it seems.

And good it is too!! I ain't 'fraid o' no ghost. Well, maybe a little! :)

http://threespeech.com/blog/?p=437 - it's out in the EU, I have yet to download it but many people have said it's all cool. Just make sure you play motorstorm and go online with it to get the 1.2 patch before downloading the Time Attack mode from the Store

You guys should read before doing anything.

In the store, it says to install first the 1.2 update from MotorStorm, and once installed, download the Time Attack mode from the Store.

If you do it the other way round, you will just get a black screen.

If you already have a black screen, delete the 1.1 update, run the game, download 1.2 update and then install the Time Attack from the Store.

@4, the Motorstorm team is a UK-based company (at least, judging by their accents ;p). So my guess is that they thoroughly tested it on the European servers, and the glitch only appeared on the US servers. Hence they can release it now for Europe.
