The PS3 launches successfully in Korea

It finally happened! Sony has launched their 80GB, video-on-demand ready, super cool edition PlayStation 3 in Korea. While we weren't there to celebrate the event, a few people over at the PS3Forums caught the action with their trusty internet-surfing abilities. We can already tell which picture the anti-Sony crowd will use as their "no one came" picture, but these pictures are actually of the countdown before the launch. People came as the launch grew closer, left their seats, and crowded the stage. It's hard to tell, but from what we can surmise, it seemed like a pretty big success. In any case, welcome to PS3-world, Korea. Check out the pictures and leave your thoughts!

Korean people really didn't miss much in the first couple of months of the PS3. They are coming in at a pretty good time. (they also get the 80GB PS3)

I am just suprised it took Sony this long. I mean Korea is right near Japan.

well I wish the best to Sony on their recent launch. Looking at those pics makes it obvious that it was a succes.. It pisses me off when anti-PS3 sites post stupid sh!+ about PS3 launches, already I've read reports that it was a total failure in Korea, saying that no one attended the event. I look at these pics and it makes me want to shove them up their a$$.

There was more than one place to buy a PS3 on launch day. I bought a PS3 and I didn't go to a launch event.
So it is more like 26100 gamers bought a PS3 on Korean launch day.

Looking around the web, it's definitely the first pictures that are being passed off by the majority of sites.
So... how long do you think it will take for the ps3 to overtake the 360 there? Probably about as long as it did in Japan. Wonder how that story will be spun?

why are there so many PS3 haters? Imo, it was the worst thing gaming cooperations could have done... - make games appeal to a new generation who know nothing about the history of gaming and who just hate and attack consoles when they know so little about them. The PS3 is the most powerful and Sega have said they believe it will prevail in the end, as do i. It's the most powerful console out of the 3 and just judging by the PS1 and PS2 sales, when the price drops, the PS3 will be a complete sell-out. The inferior Wii and 360 are only selling because they're cheaper than the PS3..

That is right Poser...I mean poster. They didn't sell that in 8 months though. They did sell only 24M before abandonment.

when i say xbox ( i mean xbox 360 )

You wanna kno why there are soo many ps3 haters?? one reason... jelousy its simple.. the ps3 beats the xbox in every way.. graphics, console looks, contoller capatibility and home is going to be mint..
let me just explain what the xboxers say and how there wrong...
1st off.. XBOX LIVE: it may have much more players but ps3's online play has like millions of players.. if thats not enuf then ure crazy.. seeing that most in agame is like 30 or somthing .. so that does not matter.

secondly: The memory.. ok hands up ps3 has less memory ok.. we'll give you that..
3rdly: games have you heard this by anychance '' yh well xbox has much more games'' well there right they do but once again let me tell you something my friends.. the xbox has about 50 games ( guess ) and ps3 35 well that is plenty of games right??! and here is something thatll blaze them up to the max.. ... we all know what blu ray ( also used on ps3s games )is.. the FUTURE of home entertainment.. seeing it holds 50GB of memory and the standard DVD that the xbox has is like 20GB that means that in the future we will be able to put more than twice as much information ( we use about 20-25GB now) on the games .. so that means more gamesplay, better music and graphics quality. oh yes i am saying that xbox now with there games are limited to what there doing now but with us we can handle sooo much more.. so in the future wen games havnt advanced and they release Xbox 720 elite master or whatever they might just catch up with us then.. in the future.. so guys what the xboxers have might be an amazing 3rd gen console but us HAHA.. we my friends have a 4th GEN 5th GEN etc untill blu ray is no more ( which lets face it wont be soon seeing the dvd is still really popular) soo xboxers, you mught have your memory and loud fans ( ooops sorry ) but we dont have a gaming console we have an everything console..

P.S. 3rd of xboxs get sent back because they break haha
