Motorstorm 1.2 patch now available in North America

European players have had a chance to play with the 1.2 Motorstorm update for nearly a week. Now, North American players can join in on the action. The major addition? A new Time Attack mode. Stability issues have also been addressed, including glitches with boost, SD text cut-off, online performance and surround sound glitches. The update also allows for up to 50 friends in the game's buddy list.

Remember to update the game before downloading the new game mode from the Store. To update the game, simply launch Motorstorm on your PS3 system. You will be prompted to download the update.

I haven't downloaded the patch yet but there is no Time Attack Mode on the Canadian store (which I am assuming is the same as the American or maybe not)

I aint ever playing this game again until they sort out that abortion of a lobby system - no specator option, not lobby chat, what the hell?!

I had such a blast this morning playing Motorstorm. Me and this other guy kept ramming into each other and causing total destruction.
(and the patch does make it easier to get into games because you can see the status in the lobby)

I compare it to my experience in NFS:Carbon where is you ram into someone they flip on your screen but are not even effected on theirs and they fly ahead of you.

Those ideas of yours count as playing. For me playing is racing.

Does anyone know when the store updates? (I am usually at school so I get the stuff when I come home)

The Store generally updates late in the afternoon. I usually look for them at 6 pm ET and generally they're there by then.

If you do happen to download Time Attack BEFORE updating the game, here's how to fix the issue:

1. Go into the Game Data utility menu
2. Delete Motorstorm 1.1
3. Start the game and go Online
4. Download the update (1.2)
5. Quit the game and THEN download Time Attack from the store
