Sure, the game launched in Japan to rather confusing reception (supposedly selling only 7,000 copies its first day, but proclaimed sold out in numerous locations), but we still love to see new information surface about the game. We don't know if it's a system-seller, but we do know the game is sporting some incredibly stylish art direction and positively stunning visuals. A third movie was released, detailing a new level, new summons, and a new way to grab the soul of boss monsters. If you just can't get enough of this game, feel free to look over the recently updated official website for some more art, screenshots, monsters, and game details. If you can read Japanese, of course.
[Update: fixed the first week supposition to first day. In that light, not all too shabby, really.]
That sucks... Trusty bell sold more than that....maybe people like the more anime look of trusty bell and that this game is not really an rpg... I hope it sells well so more exclusives can come to ps3...

Well if they sold 7000 one on day in japan, and they continue to sell 7000 every day (give or take) for the rest of that week, we're looking at about about 50,000 roughly for it's first week.
Im just being optimistic, but FolksSoul looks and plays amazingly and the Japanese eat that stuff up. So I wouldn;t be surprised to see if sell fairly well, depending on how much it was hyped there
The programming in here looks quite good. There were only a few framerate slowdowns, and they were bareable. The dust looked incredible. Doesn't look like my type of game, but it looks very polished. I was watching it thinking, why wouldn't they release this in the states, it's so well made, for an early release? But maybe people here don't really dig this?
Hello, We've got Folkssoul since friday last week. Now we're in the War World and can't defeat the final Boss. I think its a machine with a flubby substance which is coming out of his...nyah, bottom. Could you help me please? We don't know how we could defeat him.

Nick, that would be first day, not first week.

No, the supposed 7,000 sold are first day sales, not the first week since the game launched yesterday in Japan.

According to IGN, this is being released in the US. Then again, it does have a release date of 12/31 for Japan...so who knows.
