Assassin's Creed box art is watching you
The final European box art for Assassin's Creed has been released and it's looking pretty sexy. Featuring the Assassin with his gauntlet dagger standing still amongst a moving crowd, it helps emphasize the importance that melding in with the crowd will play in the game. Though it will be interesting to see if the advanced crowd AI will react to a terrifying looking guy with a shiv standing around, because they seem pretty unfazed about it on the cover.Assassin's Creed comes out November 9th for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and even amongst a crowded release schedule it looks like it will be a winner. You guys looking forward to some medieval shenanigans?

When you look at the two game boxes, the PS3 definitely looks superior. Is it just me, or does the white/green XBox logo look totally inappropriate across the top of the box art? Not what you want to see when you're trying to convey the whole bad@$$ @$$@$$in feel.

I like how every gen Playstation changes the orientation of their logo. PS1 was on the side. PS2 was on the top. PS3 is on the side. PS4 is on the bottom(ohhh...I am tricky)
Why are system names never along the right side? Looks good. And the Playstation 3 bar along the side matches everything, which makes the boxes look better than 360.
I am not just saying this because I only have a PS3 but I honestly think its true. I like the Wii top art better as well. It matches alot too.

I def. agree with the obnoxious lime green on the games. I know one thing tho, 3 new games will be mine come november, and Ubisoft will be laughing all the way to the bank with my hard earned money. haha.

"Why are system names never along the right side?"
Because occidental reading goes from left to right; that's the reason why the vast majority of the time you'll see the logo to the left, usually towards the top. Left to right is the "standard" way to read. When it's on the right, there has to be a strong element to draw the eye from left to right, such as the "tab" on Wii games.

Sony learned their lesson from the lime green PS1 "greatest hits" box art. They switched to bad A red for PS2 greatest hit games. I guess M$ is still learning...or just not learning.

Although green is my favorite color, I do detest those green boxes stacked up on my so last gen Xbox

I really like the clear boxes that PS3 games have. In the end these subtle advantages have no merit in which to buy.
Sony does do the best job of making their products look good aesthetically pleasing. (on the outside...and for the most part on the screen as well)
Even though it may not be exclusive, it will still be a good buy.

I agree that the PS3 box design looks far more sophisticated than the juvenile green and white of the 360 boxes. The clear PS logo on the top really highlights the boxart, as opposed to the logo of the console.
I'm also loving that this gen, we're getting boxart that shows single iconic images rather than messes of art and 'tude. Perhaps we'll finally get some Final Fantasy boxart that's just the logo. Needless to say, I'm embarassed by how bad the US FFXII boxart is.

incorrect usage of the word nonplussed. it means "filled with bewilderment".

The art on the limited edition looks great, but I'm not a fan of metal cases. I keep opening them up and expecting cookies.
