What other RPG studios are plotting PS3 releases? Where's White Knight Story?

Level 5 has remained hush on their upcoming RPG White Knight Story ever since the showing at the Tokyo Game Show last year, but they've finally issued a statement on the game and what we can expect at E3. Level 5's president Hino Akihiro says their development is progressing well and "should be able to show everyone something really soon." In addition to that, he said the graphical quality shown at TGS is just a taste of what's to come. We're fairly sure he's referring to the scope of the enemies and places in the game. We recall hearing about a giant turtle with a city on its back?
Other studios voiced their thoughts and plans also. Gust, makers of the Atelier games as well as Ar Tonelico, have new games currently in development. It should be noted that Gust and Banpresto are finishing up Ar Tonelico 2 for the PS2, but there's no word on whether or not it will come to America. If Nippon Ichi Studios is nice, they'll bring it over even though it'll probably stay on the PS2. Please! It was an amazing first game. We gush, but we were moved by it somehow. Other studios working on titles include: Takuyo, Namco Bandai, Hudson, Sunrise Interactive and of course, Nippon Ichi. We'll keep our eyes peeled for any info on their games because we loves us our RPGs.

off topic...if you notice I do this alot
Wouldn't it be a great showcase of disc space if Sony did a complete collection of MLB games from the PS1 era to the PS2 to the PS3 version this year with MLB 07.(they would release it next year when the MLB 08 comes out)
It would probably even fit easily because the early PS1 games and even the PS2 games. Maybe even having all the games running at 1080p or whatever display format you want.

For the love of God...its time for the RPGs!!! But these guys are just now talking about them...1 year to get half way decent RPGs and 2-3 years for the must buys. What have they been doing all this time?

Where is the Golden Axe RPG for PS3?

Exciting news. I am anxiously awaiting white knight story as well.
And although FF might be the MTV of RPGs, I still enjoy the story of most of their games.

@ gullum -- of course, I enjoy the FF games, too. But as MTV attempts to target the widest audience and hit the mainstream with their music, so does Squeenix with their FF games. Doesn't make them bad, just the most accessible.
I like the analogy because if people think it's an insult, they're blinded by their own hatred for MTV. Which is with merit.
Anyway, I hope that clarifies the analogy a bit for those who read it and instantly thought I was a bit cold. =D

off comment a bit but will ar-tonelico 1or2 be realesed in the uk or as usual wil we not get it
ndoerr @ Jun 29th 2007 12:59PM
@ vasago -- I had this conversation with one of our other writers, Jem, the other day. We compared what RPGs are in the US and aren't in Europe. On average, most Atlus games don't make it to your shores and Gust is basically the same way.
I wouldn't expect Ar Tonelico 1 or 2 to hit your shores, but if you've got an imported ps2 or modded yours, it's worth an import from the US. Maybe. Depends how hardcore you like your RPGs.
Not sure if the EU PS3 can play US PS2 games. I doubt it.

I understand what you meen the biggest problem that i see is that by the time they may come out in the UK Japan and US players have played the game to death and no one over here wants to play it because so many tips quides and reviews have come out if these companys bring the games out at the same time instead of a year later the would increase there fan base alot
