Lair: August 14th. Demo: July, we promise

It's been a long, hard road to travel down, but the time is almost here for Lair. Originally slated for release at the end of July, the game has indeed been pushed to August 14th. Their reasoning is simple: from that point on, nearly every week is going to see the release of a new game, many of which are high profile titles. It's going to be a great start to a whole lot of people's school season.

In addition to the game's release officially set in stone, the rumor of a demo hitting the PSN is still circulating. Fortunately for us, we guessed right: the demo is set for July. We don't expect it very early in July, though that would be a very pleasant surprise. We're thinking it'll hit maybe a month prior to the game's release. Mid-July, then. Until that day comes, feel free to get your fill of dragons by checking out some video footage of all the mayhem you will cause this August.

I just hope the demo is of better quality then the Motorstorm demo. The difference between the Moto demo and the game was huge IMO.

yeaa.....the motorstorm demo was a chance to "WOW" people...but it didnt.

the actual game however.... WOW.

glad they're coming out with a demo BEFORE the game drops. but I didn't even know it got 'pushed' back.

What high profile titles come out on a weekly basis during July?

What are you guys talking about?

The Motorstorm demo is why I bought the game. It played that demo 70 times before I got the game.

I really need a Lair demo to decide if this is a buy or not. If they make the controls fun then it is a buy for sure.

Why wouldn't we see it early July? Look a few post below, we got Gundam dynasty warriors yesterday and it's not released until august.

I'm worried about Lair...is anyone else? I like what I see...until suddenly all this "Shake the controller" crap starts popping up on the screen.

I hate 'shake the controller' gameplay. Leave it on the Wii.

Does anyone know if there'll be an option to turn that crap off?

#9: I couldn't agree more. I know they want a feeling of immersion, but I'm guessing that jiggling a 6 inch controller isn't really akin to thrashing about on a giant dragon. I realize I'm not actually on a dragon and it's just a game, so please let me play it like a game.
