Lair nearing completion; Devs speak on PlayStation.Blog
Ryan Hamlyn, associate producer on Lair, has written a post on the PlayStation.Blog explaining that the game is nearing completion and on track for its August 14th release date. Hamlyn has been playing the game for a while now and claims that the more he plays this game, the more fun he's having.
The post also includes a short explanation on how they developed some of the larger creatures for the game, including the "Spiderwasp" shown above. It may be hard to see clearly at such a low resolution, so check out the official PlayStation.Blog Flickr account (just goes to show that Sony truly appreciate Web 2.0) , where all the screenshots from the "Inside the Developer's Studio" feature have been put up at full resolution. Simply click "all sizes" above the picture to view it in different sizes, including 1920x1080.
Finally, the official Lair website is up, with exclusive new videos and "other cool content". It's pretty exciting to see the first non-launch AAA exclusive for the PS3 nearing completion. We just can't wait to finally play it.

I agree @2. While the graphics have looked great so far it's still not on my buy list until I play the demo.

....Yeah, it's out August 14th - did you not READ the post? It's in the first paragraph.

I hope they really mix this game up, if it's just dragon vs dragon game, then I will definitely pass.

Those that think the gameplay looks boring or repetitive; what would you like to see? I mean that as an honest question, because no one ever follows up their criticism with anything that they feel would solve that problem.
I personally liken this to an Ace Combat or, or course, Rogue Squadron sort of game but you have a dragon instead of a plane or spacecraft. Let's face it, how many other flight games have you doing much other than blowing stuff up in the air and on the ground? This one at least introduces some new mechanics into the old formula.

Have any of you watched the videos?!?!?!?
I see ground troops, rhino like things that you rip their heads off and throw like a bowling ball on to masses of troops, huge airborne beasts to smite, a mile or 2 long sea snake, and boats along with whatever atrocity is in the picture above. This game is going to be fucking sweet. I don't understand some of these comments.

I agree. By reading some of the comments i see people saying that it looks too repetitive. Look at of of War. That game is very repetitive. Only thing is, you repeat doing kick-ass things like stabbing crazy-ass chain blades down a minotaurs throat and ripping harpies to pieces with your bare hands. Repetitive game play is good as long as long as the game is fun and kick-ass.
