New Rock Band video welcomes you to the Jungle

Behold. The first gameplay footage from Rock Band. The great thing about this video is that it shows what's going on off-screen as well as on-screen. Though the people playing are a little over the top, they're also very good. That song looks incredibly hard, for all involved.
The drumset pleases us. Especially after the worries we had when we head it described as a "dinner tray stand". It's also great to see that you can use wooden drumsticks, which means that the hardware will have to be fairly well built. This game presses all of our buttons and we can't wait to see more. Here's hoping some song titles are released during E3.

Here's hoping theres a Rush song on there, and the Drum solos are equal to the guitar part for "Jordan" on GH2. NEIL PERT!

Correct... keeping in with the previous announcements that the Guitar Hero controllers would be compatible with Rock Band.
Very astute obeservation.
Side note, watching this, and reading the IGN hands on article has gotten me pretty well excited for this game. I'm pretty much set to preorder the full set from Gamestop right now.

I'm that good on guitar. I'm looking forward to learning the drums. This will cost a pretty penny on PS3 knowing that the PS2 controls won't work at all. Plus, the new guitar will be more like the 360's guitar in that it will include a port for an attachment to add effects.
Can't wait. Anyone got some cool band names they might use for their Rock Band?

@8 maybe they'll add an online feature for you to make a band with.
Personally I can't stand games like this. But I must say this is very interesting indeed.

It definitely is online, that's the whole point... so you don't have to crowd at one friend's house, you play through Xbox Live.. the only problem is possible lag and if a friend doesn't have Xbox Live (the latter not as likely)
