Developer's Studio: Sarah Stocker and Singstar

The PlayStation.Blog's "Inside the Developer's Studio" feature continues in its run up to E3. On the 3rd of July Seth Luisi showed off SOCOM: Confrontation and yesterday Sarah Stocker hyped up the soon-to-be-released karaoke sim, Singstar.
Sarah discusses the Game 3.0 aspects of the game, including how the online catalogue is the first of its kind. She also mentions the myspace-esque My Singstar page, which all users will be able to upload video footage of their performances to. This game is going to be a great party experience once it's released next month and we're looking forward to seeing what more there is to see at E3.

I'll be the first to say that I am eagerly anticipating this. The two on the PS2 are a blast to play, but there's too few really good songs. Out of thirty on each disc, maybe half. They're all fun to play, but some of them are just terrible (like SOS on Singstar POP, or the song by Joss Stone on Singstar ROCKS.)
also looking forward to the wireless mics. No more will be the days of tripping over the cords while jamming.
This and Rock Band plus the other big titles coming out are making it a very good time to be a PS3 owner.

dude there's nothing like having a karaoke machine.. even cooler a ps3 karaoke machine which you can download even more songs when your friends come over and want to have a little party..
karaoke it's just such a chick magnet.. there's nothing like having all of your friends over, get some heneikens for the fellas, some smirnoff for the ladies and sing some karaoke, the wii could never beat this,
i'll tell you what, it's gonna be a nice holiday season this year.. my parties are gonna increase like 60% lol.. man i love my ps3..

Doubt it. I have played Singstar Rocks! at a friends house before. It is similar to the PS3 version because that one rocked. Hehe I love puns!
