Japan scores 6 PSP Lite colors

America must be the land of the colorless, because Japan's launch of the new PSP will come with a color selection that outdoes our own. Six colors will debut at the Japanese PSP launch, including some metallic pastel colors that certainly look unique. Considering how the original PSP was region-free, we're expecting these to become hits with the import community as well.

Lite colors is right! can't they get some brighter or stronger colors in there? those are like the color of my bathroom.

Woah, so they (JAPAN) get all these nice colours, why can't we in North America get this! I happy that the new slim is coming, but not being able to how multiple colours to show off really sucks

stupid japanese and there exclusive gaming equipment :( all we get exclusive is starwars psp and nobody even likes starwars that much. personally i dont wanna walk around with darth vader in mt pants :P

Meh. Japan. Always with the more colors. Except this time, as far as I'm concerned, they can have 'em.

I'm all for a girl-friendly palette choice to expand the demographic, but that's strictly who those are for. I'll take plain old ceramic white or piano black.

I'd love to get a pink one, but I can't--I'm one of the three people who actually likes to watch UMD movies.

The games are region free (I've imported several music games) but the movies certainly aren't!

I agree with PocketGoddess, I don't want to be locked out of UMD movies. If I had cash to burn, I would buy a regular North American one and then an import (the FF7 one) and just swap the covers.

Wow, I LOVE those colors, and I was all prepared to be skeptical of the girly look since the pink DS lite is awful. If they work on US games maybe I'll just pick me up a purple or blue import....

Why is that Japan is alwayss the first to get the cooler colours?? Sony should start getting busy making more availuable bolder brighter colours for the U.S., including the metallics. I would love to own a colbolt blue or a red hot apple, or hot pink, orange, the colors goes on & on . Get with the progam Sony We want more variety in colors and in the bundles. I wouldnt want to get a bundle that has star wars in it!
