Awfully disturbing Hot Shots Golf ad
Japan loves making crazy ads ... and Sony's Minna no Golf 5 gets the same quirky treatment. This latest campaign from Sony takes place in a spa, and there are balls everywhere. Is this some not-so-covert attempt at terrifying innuendo? Or, are our American minds simply reading far too much into this?

I think this is sweet and if the US or other parts of the world could see ads like this I think it would be cool. The thing that is nice about this it gets you to look at the ad and want to see what it will show at the end. So I for one hope that there will be commercials like this in the US.

yea i think the inner analyst got in the way of this simple idea. I wish they'd zoom into the 'ladies' spa area tho... if only to see a slew of ladies in towels hanging out with a tonne of golf balls.

Pfft, hahaha. That wasn't disturbing in the slightest, I've seen more odd ads locally than that.
It makes shit loads more sense then those fucked up "This Is Living" bullshit. God I hated those ads!

Watch how the balls move.
(sorry)
The balls move like water. Basically, watch this scene and imagine everything with water. See? They just substituted golfballs.
Water is an element (like fire); "it is associated with the qualities of emotion and intuition" (Greek, Wikipedia)
"In Chinese Taoist thought, water is representative of intelligence and wisdom" (Wikipedia)
So. A ritual performed with water, which has mythically the above-stated qualities, when substituted for golf balls, shows us that, indeed (or at least presumed, by this commercial), playing golf is representative of intelligence and wisdom, or emotion and intuition (you can play as a guy or a girl). I'm gonna catch heat for that.

@John: O_o ...
@Everyone: Is it me, or do these men really enjoy their balls?...
@MYPS3KilledMy360: Sorry, I couldn't resist! =D

I don’t see the problem. I also don’t see what is so special about this ad.
