Metal Gear and Tekken goes online on PS3

Thankfully, it looks like those dark days are over. Two huge PlayStation franchises now have confirmed online play: Metal Gear Solid and Tekken. Like Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, the upcoming PS3-exclusive Tekken 6 will feature versus matches over the internet. That's supposedly only the first of a long list of online features -- don't be surprised if Namco Bandai adds online leaderboards to the final game.
Metal Gear Solid will also be going online on PS3, but how exactly is still unclear at the moment. Could the recently disconnected Metal Gear Online come back as a PlayStation downloadable title? Or, will an online mode be added to Metal Gear Solid 4? Hopefully, we'll find out more at next week's Metal Gear 20th Anniversary event.

Online Metal Gear huh? I can see those matches lasting 2+ hours especially with a 10 vs 10 stealth match! /wrist. I'd give my left nutt to play MGS4 right now but umm...the online mode may be just a tacked on feature. But then again since when did the lead dude ever produce some BS...

Its probably a seperate team building the multiplayer so the single player wont lose any time on it so they both will be awsome. Why doesnt the MG team make another Zone of the Enders if you played the 2nd one you were in mech bliss. im sorry gundam but none of your games... a matter of fact if all your games were combined you wouldnt compare to the orbital frame beast none as jehuty. if that game was a download it would be number one. if you havent played zone of the enders 2nd runner and you love mechs you should buy or rent it even now it doesnt feel dated.
