Ratchet and Clank demo hitting PS Store shelves soon [Update]

We love furry animal critters and funky robots, so of course we're going to love the rumored Ratchet and Clank demo when it comes out. Game Informer had an interview with Dave Karraker about that very topic and he said the demo was, in fact, complete.
With all the other demos getting announced, we're not surprised to hear of this one. We've just got to find an appropriate frame of time to slide the demo under the door, so to speak. If nothing else, give this demo a chance to get a better feeling for the game, if you didn't exactly agree with the hands-on impressions from E3.

I have never played a Ratchet and Clank game so this will be a great download to test the waters.
Has anyone else downloaded every demo that they don't own? (sadly that includes that Gundam game)

can't wait

I've only played the psp size matters version. It wasnt half bad. I need to finish it though. I hope sony starts to post more demos at once instead of holding on to demos. 360 gets like 2 or 3 at one time.

Looking forward to this, all the footage I have seen, this has the potential of a AAA title...
Lets hope it lives up to it..
Coming from the guys that made Resistance, i'm sure it will

Can someone please help me out? (I have the 20GB model)
Now that there is a wallpaper option I really want to get some photos onto my PS3. I have 8 photos on my PC and I have tried the following and they haven't worked
-Used a school program called D2L where I uploaded them onto the website and tried to download them onto my PS3. They showed on the web browser but when I tried to save them I didn't let me save them to my Hard Drive.
-burnt them onto a disc
Please help, even a good filesharing website would help.

Andy, when using the PS3 browser if you hit the triangle button u will see a window pop up on the right.
I think it is under tools (not sure, at work so I cannot check) u hit x to open that up and you should see an option to save image to HDD.
You can also save it to flash media stick...the PS3 supports the 3 most popular kinds, and then stick it in the card slot and press triangle again and select save.
Hope that helps.

Andy,
Just plug in your digital camera into the usb port on the front, turn your camera on to playback mode, and browse the pictures from your PS3
Andy @ Jul 24th 2007 2:50PM
Never mind I got it work.
GodisaMyth @ Jul 24th 2007 2:52PM
Do not understand where my comment went.
I will try again.
When using the PS3 browser, if you hit triangle after you have selected an image u will see a window pop up on the right with a bunch of different options. I believe the one you want is under tools.
Hit x on it, and you will see an option to save image. Hit x and it will save to your Hdd.
You can also save an image to flash cards, (PS3 supports 3 diff kinds) and then stick it in the card slot and once you open it press triangle and select copy.
Hope that helps.

You can do that with a camera and the USB? I am going to have to try that when my camera comes home.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I did not agree with that review. The reviewer described the perfect R&C experience, then said it was lame for not changing. This is one of the most highly anticipated titles for me and my friends (30's, Dads), because all we want is more of the same goodness, only in high def. There's nothing to fix, on this game. All four for ps2 were near faultless (okay, 3 was perfect).
DownwardMonkey @ Jul 24th 2007 4:26PM
I agree John, I'm 30 and I'm really craving some old skool type gaming FUN. Even my younger house mate (female, 19) can't understand why next gen means all the simple fun she had on her Megadrive (Genesis) has to go away.
Consolcwby @ Jul 24th 2007 7:31PM
Oldschool! YAY! I'm all for that!... =o ...as long as it's not boring to play, I'm game!
Titty Pink @ Jul 24th 2007 8:32PM
how do you add your PS3 to your home network?
never$$hort @ Jul 24th 2007 8:50PM
Yeah I too agree with #'s 15 & 16... I'm 27 and have definately been missing the simplistic yet challenging, addicting and captivating gameplay that oldschool games used to offer. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely think what this generation has to offer is nothing short of amazing(especially since the Atari 2600 was the virgin that broke me into this gameworld)and it seriously trips me out when I even try to comprehend what gaming will be in the next 5-10 years... In 50 years I'm pretty sure its safe to say we will be IN the game lol?
I've never played any of the previous series Ratchet and Clank games but if this demo is good(which I highly doubt is gonna suck) I will be picking this up. MORE DEMOS... KEEP 'EM COMIN'
Titty Pink @ Jul 24th 2007 10:52PM
I didn't think gundam was THAT bad...of course I love the genre. Hey when you create a new account, I can never seem to pick a name that isn't taken. Anyone else have that problem?
Consolcwby @ Jul 25th 2007 1:17AM
@Titty Pink: Nope. Not a problem for me, but you might want to consider alternate spellings if you want a certain name. Just don't pick mine! =D
(It confuses enough people as it is...)
