New Marvel fighter promises top-tier fighting experience

Even though our Dreamcasts are still humming to the sounds of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, we've been wondering for a while if any decent Marvel-licensed fighting games will ever exist again. We weren't surprised when we heard that EA took up the challenge to create a game utilizing their Marvel license. What are you mumbling? Is it "oh no, not EA, anyone but them?" Perhaps they'll step up to the plate and deliver a solid gaming experience, perhaps not. Let's wait and see before we judge.The game is going to feature an "all-star cast" of heroes and villains across the Marvel universe (we hope this means a "large" cast instead of the dozen or so popular lads and lasses), with huge environments and some sort of way to keep every match fresh. Destructible environments, Power Stone-like level mechanics, or aerial-to-ground combat? Who knows. We'll keep an eye on this as EA leaks details through their solid gold pipes.

EA making a top tier fighter? LMAO, man,i have such a hate/hate/love thing for EA ( Battlefield 2 ) but them making a fighter?
This is what i can expect from the honest reviews, and not the bought out ones...coughIGNcough..
-Clunky collison on the fighters
-great still frame pictures, but horrible, framerates
-long load times
thats classic EA right there, poor collision detection, horrible framerates, long load times,and an overall rushed out, lets try to get as much money as possible, clunky feeling fighting game. But it will look 'cool' and be marketed very well and guess what, despite it being a sorry ass game, it will sell..just look at Madden..

I am still patiently waiting for Sammy VS Capcom.... I bet EA will charge a nickle for every "super" the character does

Marvel Ultimate Alliance?
It sounds exactly the same as this upcoming one.
Until EA uses the PS3 as the lead platform I'm not buying...I guess I'll be buying Burnout Paradise.

Check out the new releases listed for the PS3 on IGN. This is just Marvel Nemesis 2. If you didn't like the first one, odds are you'll dislike this one too.
....ok, wait, it's not on there anymore. I'll have to assume they're going to rebrand it. I know I've seen it on there, though.

Umm...you guys have such a short memory. Remember 'Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects' from 2005? Well, it sucked so I guess I don't blame you for erasing it from your memory.
To make it short: Yeah, EA can't create a good fighter.
