After the announcement that
Dynasty Warriors 6 will feature both swimming
and climbing (stop the presses!) we were hooked. In addition to those elements, the ability to create your own combo string into an almost infinite wave of attacks really gives us something to mull over whilst hacking through thousands of brain-dead Chinese warriors. Take a look at the gallery compiled below, courtesy of the
official Dynasty Warriors 6 website, and let us know if you think this game will freshen up the mostly stale guilty pleasure Koei has milked for so very long.

I'm a sucker for these games for some inexplicable reason when I look at these screens I froth.
My foam has reached the froth stages.

Sorry, not impressed with graphics.

@3: It's Dynasty Warriors. The visuals have always been the low-end of O.K.. Stating you're not impressed with the graphics (at least when it's in a manner that's as dismissive to the game as whole as your comment was) is like stating your not impressed with th depth of Ms. Pac Man.

I don't what it is about DW but its the only series of games I can plug away at endlessly. I am really looking forward to this in next-gen goodness. The screenshots of swimming and ladder climbing are the real special ones for me, as they show new things being added :)

Looks good, but probably tastes the same... kinda wish Koei would take a page out of Heavenly Sword's book and make the combat a little more cerebral. I like DW, but it keeps feeling more blander and blander...

Delicious. Where do I sign up for the preorder?...
Yeah... may not include breakthrough gameplay but it's damn fun still...
