Rumbling SIXAXIS already in the hands of developers claims Innerbits
Innerbits.com, a blog run by "a few guys working in the games industry" who "want to address rumors, and a give a voice to game developers who would be otherwise afraid to speak up," claims that rumbling SIXAXIS controllers are now in the hands of a select few developers. The information on these prototype controllers is still kept very tight to Sony's chest. Apparently the details will be revealed over the next two or three months, with Leipzig the obvious venue of choice. We'll be there to let you know if that's the case.
Innerbits also reports that controllers bundled with consoles are quietly being swapped out with newer versions. Nothing too exciting, just improved motion sensing. We're reminded that hardware updates occur all the time without us being told. Remember the removal of the Emotion Engine?
Finally, we're told not to get too excited about the patent for PSP/Dual Analogue controller connectivity. Companies patent hundreds of things that never see the light of day. We're going to remain hopeful, but not hold our breath.

@1: ME TOO! To hell with my friends and their non-rumbling controllers.... This will be like back in the NES/SNES/Genesis days where whoever owned the console got to use the super awesome comfortable turbo-enabled game pad while everyone else was stuck with the standard ones.
Hopefully they at least give us a peek at the next couple of events, and let us know if they are changing more than just rumble and tilt sensors. I want a more ergonomic feel and for those pesky bluetooth connection drops to go away.

You know playing without rumble typically makes you a better gamer. Anytime i play halo, gran turismo, etc, I turn off the rumble feature. It's not just a distraction. It'll really hurt your game.

I hope they finally put an LED in LED3 so that the PS button lights up as they advertised!

I wonder if part of the reason they want to clear stock of 60 GB PS3's is to include rumble in the new versions.

Halo does suck bad, i agree on that. And i knew DEVs had the new controller when they blurred it out in that interview for some game a while back.
Need4SpeedPR @ Aug 1st 2007 7:12PM
I already post about it.
Check the video of Haze in Game Spot http://www.gamespot.com/video/933103/6173896/videoplayerpop?rgroup=e32007_live&tag=video_main%3bwatch%3b0 and check the minutes around 10:00 and watch the PS3 control They blur it. And when the guy put it over the desk it starting jumping.

@ otsego_undead - "seriously. its just rumble.... over a decade old tech."
Actually, it's not called Rumble, it's called TouchSense, and it's not even out for use as of yet. Learn more?... go ahead...

Maybe now, after idiots actually search for information, they won't post mindless drivel as much as they do now.

Hahahaha...oh man....gt4freak85 just made a classic post. I wish he was on IRC, I bet he'd end up on bash.org for comedy gold like that.
Not comedy because he's wrong but his phrasing was hilarious.
