English dub of Final Fantasy Tactics is stellar
Remember the incredible voice acting and presentation of Final Fantasy XII? Well, it looks like PSP's upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics is getting the same high-quality treatment as its other Ivalice Alliance brethren. The voice acting is superb, and the dialogue is far away from the original, stilted PS1 translation. Bravo, Square Enix! [Update: English language screenshots and downloadable MP4 file added.]

Not bad at all. As if I needed another reason to pick up this game!

As soon as this was announced, I was ready to buy. This is just extra credit. ;]
Even though I'm still a bit niffed by the decision to sell FF1 and 2 seperately. What a waste.

I wonder what the Japanese sounded like. I understand that there is no VA in the jp version, but did the cut scene have music instead? Just that the cut scene seems dull w/o any va or music.

Any chance that they might have some more gameplay videos? I love the animated cutscenes. I never played the original (can't find any copies in Ohio, y'see?) so I hope this game helps cure my PSP RPG jones before Crisis Core comes out.

Apparently Square Enix released this trailer (or cutsceane) in mp4 format (at the highest resolution) and it looked pretty awesome on my PSP. For those intrested, I downloaded it from RPGamer (PSP web browser friendly). I have to ask though, doesn't the girl who's being kidnapped sound like VA who's also voicing Jeanne D' Arc?

beautiful, i thought it was impossible, but I'm even more excited for this game

You call this "stellar" voice dubbing job?
Wow... you have a very low standard...

Yeah.. Ramza's voice was disappointing. He sounds weak, as opposed to the strength felt in his texts back in the original FFT... *sigh*
