Warhawk gets priced: $60 retail, $40 PSN

The multiplayer-only Warhawk finally has a price: $60 for the retail version (which includes Bluetooth headset) and $40 for the downloadable PSN version. The game will be available simultaneously on August 28th.Which one will you choose? The downloadable version will be cheaper, but the PlayStation.blog explains that "the retail game is more of a premium version with some expanded video content, traditional package and manual."
Wonder what's going to happen to EGM's review of the game ...

$30.00 PSN = EGM REVIEW = 7.2 (Hmmm...good game. But nothing special. Where's my stuffed Master Chief? I need some cuddling.)
$40.00 PSN = EGM REVIEW = 5.5 (OMFG!@ Taht is teh suxorz! Halo rulez!)
$59.95 Blu-ray = EGM REVIEW = 7.9 (Meh. I already have a Mic/headset and don't need no stinking "extras." Oh, and Halo rulez!)

I see some are complaining like $40 on PSN is too much. The game still cost a ton to develope, its just a little cheaper because they don't need to produce a disk. Game is not like the normal PND downloads. I was in the beta and this is worth every cent weather you buy the disk or DL it. This is gonna be a blast.
For those that dont know it supports 4 player split screen while still be online in a huge game.

hey guess what i thought killzone had a great story and good graphics for a ps2 game accept for the terrible switch for low to HD models and the helghast yells. what you wana to fight about it!

I'll spring for the retail version just so I can get the Jabra Bluetooth headset and I can always have a hard copy of the game.
It would be interesting if you could install the retail version of Warhawk to the HDD for faster load times.
Also, congratulations to the top 100 players for receiving the "Top-BETA-Players" award (a really nice print of the box-art, signed by the team AND a very, very limited edition metal Warhawk Wings pin). Any winners on PS3 Fanboy?

after being a part of the Beta, i can say that $40 is a fair price. it truly is a great game.
wasn't Shadowrun on the 360 $60?
with that said, i'll probably get the Blu Ray version, only because i want the headset (my crappy PS2 SOCOM headset sucks).

Definitely retail. I already have a bluetooth headset, but if they are going to include one for $20, then it's a good buy in my opinion for those that either don't have one yet, or would like to have an extra, like myself, for when friends come over to play this game and want to hear what's going on amongst teammates. This is a great move on behalf of Incognito and really makes up for the fact that we should have had a packed in headset from the start.

Off Topic: anyone know what's the B-movie showed on the TV in the The Darkness Demo? it's on the Sci-Fi channel in the game. i want to know what it is so i can laugh some more at the fact they played off Iquana's with stuff glued to their back as giant monsters...when everyone knows if you want a monster use a Giant Crab for MASSIVE DAMAGE!

Download, the less clutter the better. I already have numerous headsets, that $20 will go towards a nice bottle of wine.

I have a habit of selling mu games after ive been done with them. I did this for RFoM, MotorStorm, and NGS so far. they go on eBay and i can usually get a very good return on them.
So, if i get this, it will be retail. knowing that the return will not be as much given the PSN option. I dont care, i just dont want un-played games laying around my living room.

Not sure I'll be buying this. Although there are enough people bigging it up, it still seems to me like it'll be another flying, spacey type shooter thing... but shinier than normal.
Beta users being rewarded for being lucky enough to a part of the beta trials. Seems fair to me
