PSP-2000 pre-orders now available on amazon.com

Finally! It looks like online retailer giant, amazon.com, is allowing customers to pre-order the newly redesigned PSP (codenamed PSP-2000). There's a variety of bundles to choose from:

Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Entertainment Pack - contains Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron and a Ceramic White Darth Vader PSP-2000 system. $200. Releases October 23.
Daxter Entertainment Pack - contains Daxter, Family Guy UMD, 1GB Memory Stick Duo, and a Silver PSP-2000 system. $200. Releases September 10.
Black PSP-2000 system - $170. Releases September 10.

We're sure that other retailers will start joining the pre-order bandwagon. Are you ready to buy (another) PSP?

Are you quite sure the Battlefront Renegade Squadron pack comes with the memory stick? The image on the box at its Amazon page says that the only contents are the PSP, game, battery pack, and AC Adapter.

I want the Daxter pack, thats what I'm hoping for. But the Star Wars one sounds hot! I like the Silver color though. I was gonna mod my PSP to have a silver or gold faceplate but the silver PSP-2000 one seems like it would be really sweet! :)

Getting the new PSP is interesting, mostly because it's ... well, new. :) What I'd like to know before committing are the costs for the video output cables. I haven't seen prices explicitly mentioned anywhere or whether or not they are included in the box (which I seriously doubt.) Does anyone know?

The TV-Out cable is definitely not included in the box. That was confirmed during an interview with Gamespot at E3.

ooh, can't wait for the new PSP-2000. I will FINALLY get to game portable. Glad to see the Black one ships the same time as the Daxter bundle... always wanted the black one. Can't wait...

Well I sold my old PSP for $140.00 the day that it was announced at E3 2007 (Whoever bought it is a sucker because this one coming out) so I won't have 2 PSP's.

The Darth Vader pic is only on the battery cover, paint it white or find a white battery cover. Japan will be getting the plain vanilla white PSP, why not us?
