Two heroes share one destiny in new Folklore trailer
While we wait for the Folklore demo to hit US shores, it appears that 1UP has net an exclusive trailer for this upcoming PS3 action adventure. As we mentioned at E3, the game revolves around controlling two different characters as they travel back and forth from the Faery World. After watching this new trailer, do you share the same excitement as one unnamed British blogger?

One thing:
Did they change the name of the town?
In the Japanses demo it was Lemrick, now they're talking about "Doolin"
Hmmmm. I live Lemrick better :P
fetcher.nwah @ Aug 16th 2007 10:34PM
*like! Lemrick, not "live"
Stupid typo.

Wow, this game looks pretty incredible. I like the presentation alot. It may even have an interesting storyline.
BTW this has already been released in Japan for a few months right? How well was it received there?

I don't know exactly how well it was received, but I live in Tokyo and I bought it on release day. The storyline is pretty cool and the graphics and sounds are also nice. However, the combat system got very boring very fast. Also, even though you can choose between the two different characters at the beginning of each chapter, their respective lines aren't that much different so you end up just doing almost exactly the same things again with a different main. Overall, I wasn't that impressed.

@6 The same could be said about any battle system for any RPG, I'm playing it for the presentation and story

I played the Japanese demo and it was pretty fun. The game looks fantastic and the combat is pretty easy to adapt to (though I could see how it could get boring fast). As long as this game has a good story (which it looks like it does) I think its worth any gamers time. Heck, the art-style alone (so unique and creative) makes it a buy for me (though probably after the bigger Ps3 titles coming out this year).

Did they get rid of the Abingdon Boys School intro? I love that intro, I hope they keep it for the American version, otherwise I aint buying.
