If you were upset because you wouldn't be able to collect the monsters from
Folklore on the PS3, fear not! Sony has confirmed a PSP version of the title is in the works. The game probably won't be
exactly the same (graphically obvious, plotline will also probably differ), but the interesting thing to note is the involvement of Kouji Okada. You may know Okada as the creator of the always-critically-acclaimed
Shin Megami Tensei titles. What does this mean? You're going to get a badass PSP game.
While our speculation leads us to believe this PSP title will be set in the same universe but tell a different story, there's nothing to confirm that. Sony has remained quiet on the issue. We aren't even aware of any link-up between the PSP and PS3 game for extra content, monsters, etc. Even if there is none, we know the title will be worthy of following up on, so expect to hear more in the coming weeks!

So this is something different than Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner? I was under the impression that that game was in the same mythos as Folklore, since they shared the Monster Kingdom name originally.

Wow , this came pretty much from nowhere . I wonder what ammount of hype will this game be able to gather , and if it will have any effects on PSP sales .

Good news to hear, indeed. I hope there's somekind of interaction with the two(PS3/PSP)more than just related story & characters... i.e., remote play or even a PvP of sorts.

I had always thought Monster Kingdom was the portable version of Folklore. I guess maybe they are going to drop the Monster Kingdom franchise altogether? That would suck, it was a pretty cool game.
